Back when I was thinking of making the name cards just illustrations without the mirrored effect the traditional ones have, I really wanted to do Sugar framed in a toy store window or something

So reconfiguring that idea to fit the mirrored effect was tricky but oh well this is a good enough compromise

Was watching Kumas backstory and was wondering: In your Rosi slave au, does he ever show the kids the Nika Dance? If he does, what do Doffy and the others think of it?

Yes, he does!

But only after the truth about his background as a slave is revealed. Without that context, it would just seem strange—suspicious, even—a clear sign that he knows things he shouldn’t.

And—and—and! Before the reveal, his muteness doesn’t progress very well… But afterward! He can “sing” along with the children: DONDO TO TO! 😍 Eventually he can tell them about Nika and what he means to the slaves.

As for the others… hmm, I don’t think they’d mind. He makes the children smile more, laugh more—overall, he just makes everything feel lighter and happier.

Doflamingo would watch him quietly. Sometimes, there might even be a small smile playing at the corner of his mouth. He’d think a lot about what Rosinante has revealed—and about all the things he still hasn’t said.

But one thing’s for sure: he’d be glad Rosinante is finally starting to open up, after months of secrecy and silent fear.

It takes a long time for them to really open up to one another.
