Kate was more so taken aback by Delmy’s sudden appearance behind her than the…odd remark that fell from her lips. Though to be fair, both had given her pause. Quickly, the blonde looked up and there Delmy was, looking down at her like she genuinely expected an answer and for a moment, Kate was speechless. Trying to wrap her mind around words to give, and if they should question the woman’s motive or simply answer the question.
“Um…” Kate blinked, glancing down at the notepad she’d been doodling in like that’d provide her an out before looking back up at the other with a tight-lipped smile. “I suppose that’d be, uh…..a rather different name to–to have. Glad it’s not me.” That last part was written off with a soft little laugh, helping to lighten the mood and also ease her own tension admittedly.
