My nose enters rooms before I do

This morning we woke up in a hotel in Ft Lauderdale, with only a few hours until we had to check out. We wanted to go to the gym, the beach, the pool and have breakfast at the restaurant, supposedly the best in town. We quickly had to give up on breakfast for lack of time. Luckily I came prepared, I had brought some chia seed pudding just in case we needed to have a quick meal. Then Michael had to shower before going to the gym, which is something I will never understand, I shower after the gym not before. So we ended up having an hour to go to the gym, the beach, the pool and pack and check out. Michael said we couldn't do it, but I showed him.

20 minutes at the gym

15 minutes at the beach

5 minutes at the pool

10 minutes packing

And the rest is mostly waiting for elevators and walking between locations

Not a lot of quality time in either place, but enough to feel like we accomplished something.

Then we drove up to Delray (I'll never get over the spelling of that city name) to see my aunt Betty, the American aunt, who's lived longer in Spain than in anywhere else, but she'll always be our aunt from Brooklyn.

First time seeing her in the US. It was strange, when I see her in Badalona I feel like I need to talk to her in English, like she's starved for it, since she doesn't get to do it there. But seeing her today, I felt like I should be speaking in Spanish, a very strange feeling.
