Seeing Stars ✨

Delta, without fail, was up and ready every morning before the sun. Going for a run at six in the morning with her dog was just routine at this point. Her Vizsla certainly needed the exercise, and considering one of her jobs was now teaching a university track team, she liked to keep very much in shape. She ran trails that weren’t for the faint of heart (beginners), and trails certainly not popular at that time in the morning. Needless to say, a couple surprises struck Delta when she saw someone else running the trail.
The first being that someone else was running this early. The second, was that it was another woman, and she was all about women being badass. The third, however, was what threw her off guard at the most inconvenient time. She wasn’t running full speed, but at minimum, it was half. Her dog, Echo, was trained to run back to her side when someone else was on the path. Something she certainly wasn’t paying attention to; because the third realization was how positively beautiful this woman was.
The end result could be considered rather tragic in an embarrassing sense. Delta not only tripped over her dog, but flew right into the other woman, colliding with her. Considering she was wearing just a sports bra and shorts, most of her body was exposed to the harsh ground as she slid against it after the fall. “Totally my fault!” She owned up with a groan, mentally making a check of her body to make sure everything was mostly okay; it checked out, but she was a little too embarrassed to move just yet. Her dog seemed fine, too, switching between the excitement of meeting a new person and the worry of Delta falling – by taking turns licking both their faces.
