The corners of Dylan's lips continued to curl upwards until she couldn't hold back another laugh that she tried so hard to keep in. "Definitely one to many," she commented, thoroughly enjoying the current situation. She'd have to make note to thank Althea in private for putting her daughter in this situation, because Elektra's flustered and embarrassed behaviour was absolutely priceless, but Dylan also found it quite endearing. "So, she enjoys embarrassing the hell out of you, and you enjoy scaring the hell out of her? You two are quite similar in some way or another, " Dylan chuckled softly.
Eyebrows then scrunched together as a perplexed expression fell across Dylan's features when the ramble began to happen, but then she was smiling once more. Okay, why did this woman have to be so damn adorable. It truly wasn't fair. "Truthfully, don't even really care about the money, but it would be nice to prove your mother wrong, because I can guarantee that she probably doesn't think that we can stay in here for twenty-four hours." The flushed cheeks didn't go unnoticed, in fact it had her smirking, and for a moment she was all but ready to call her out on it, but it would probably only cause her to actually combust with embarrassment, and she couldn't do that to the poor woman, plus it was cute. Dylan's head then shook as eyes rolled playfully. "I'm boring. Wow, that's just rude," she bantered back. "Got any other secrets you want to share about not liking me?" She grinned.
Watching smugly as the other got up from the bed, she stayed where she was for a moment, eyes just following Elektra's movements, lingering when she finally came to a stop. A boisterous laugh then slipped from her lips when she finally got the bottle of champagne open, but ended up bursting one of the balloons with the cork. "Okay careful, you are going to injure yourself," she made note as she finally got up from the bed and then moved towards the other woman, stopping just inches from her. "And to answer your question from just moments before," Dylan began in a soft whisper, not daring to move away as she grabbed the drink. "There's a few things I can think of that can get your heart racing fast."
"Maybe she should have added two less petals - just to have been on the safe side." Or no petals. Or balloons or candles or stuffed animals. "Correction - my hobbies just happen to be a mother's worst nightmare. Her hobbies are to meddle. I'm completely innocent, you know." She offered what she thought would be an innocent smile.
"I'm pretty sure mother dearest thinks you're perfectly capable of enjoying a luxury suite, overlooking the beach, for twenty-four hours. But I'm, you know, like a zoo animal going crazy. Besides, you know me - small spaces? Terrifying." She genuinely hoped she forgot to mention the caving she had done a few months ago to the other. It had been an incredible experience! But it was a very tight squeeze to get through. Nothing like the openness of the suite.
"Boring, yeah. I mean, is your best friend a shark?" It wasn't like she even encountered sharks often ever, especially when not intentionally diving with them. But every shark had the same name and would be considered the same shark for amusement sake. Of course, she nearly died for a moment when the secret comment came out, and it took her a moment to realize the word 'not' had been thrown in there. Not even ten minutes in, and she was already a mess. "A secret wouldn't be a secret if I told you. How did that saying go? Two can keep a secret if one of them is dead?" She hoped she managed to play that off smoothly enough.
"Those corks should totally be illegal, though! See, another fear! Carbonated corks. Such a lack of support groups for that one." Her speech sped up as Dylan drew close to her, as if trying to keep up with her heart rate.
"M-my heart's racing just fin- no, what I mean is, my hearts' pacing is just fine and steady. Which, is the problem, right. Racing heart. Need it. Adrenaline and all. You sure you're up for the task? Probably super difficult." Elektra probably would have wiggled away, but the one step back she did try, had her backing into the table behind her, and she had started the freeze part of it all. Dylan was close enough to just kiss right now. It was so unfair.
