Being: A darkener originating from a dvd and vhs player.
Current Job: Educational Host/star…& technically SM for the traveling theatre troupe. (Begrudgingly Works with the school’s TV to properly educate the students whenever and in whatever subject needed.) Under experienced for said job but doesn’t have much of a choice. More comfortable in the many crew jobs instead. Takes on many of those jobs as well during downtime.
Works 5 out of the 7 days a week.
Has 6-7 people working with her for each segment. Only has 1 true boss above her.
Personality: Stage mom. & very occasional Spitfire. Takes care of every cast and crew she works with. She remembers how starting off in show biz can be. Pretty dang patient with her crew. She’s a listening ear, negotiator, chef and caretaker at the very least. She has been seen on occasion to be very no nonsense. Some things require consideration and re-explanation. Others require a talking to and being sent to alphabetize Properties for the time being. Can be serious but also has been seen to dance ridiculously in the wings when not on stage (trying to get those onstage to break or others off stage to join in).
Gets riled up quickly when safety becomes secondary to anything else. From having to stop a moving set piece from slamming into a guest star to nearly getting her own head replaced by a light, safe to say, Vidia is serious about these things. These are a one and you’re elsewhere far from the stage for a long while. Will go to bat for the cast and crew against the boss.
But…this passion is not the same passion she has for herself. Very hesitant to snap back and/or argue for something if it’s just for her…& her boss knows it. So her work life balance is fried until after she begins visiting Castle Town for a bit.
Just has a general hard time treating herself in anyway without worrying that she’s affecting someone else when she does. Vidia is the type to rethink every scenario before she prepares/orders a cup of coffee…even if she’s done so before.
A reader of people. She’s made up of two video media readers. Reading is apart of just who she is. Vidia’s pretty good at reading people and will dish out what she’s given. She tends to wait until someone treats her wrongly something first.
To contradict herself again, Vidia’s exception to the get what you give personality is elders. She is aware that, without older displays and technology, there’s a chance she wouldn’t be present. She treats noticeable elders with respect and tries to make things easier for them. Her boss knows this. Vidia has quite a few internal conflicts between the match energies and the respect elders parts of her.
Fears: Complete darkness.
Introduced into Castle Town: Has been told here. Already present in town…partially.
Friends: She feels like any of the crew would count. Horaceio is the top as her Stage manager so the two work together a lot…but all of them are pretty chummy with her. However, doesn’t feel like she can consider them as such as Vidia is aware they only really talk with her cause of work. (She doesn’t know they’d go to bat for her and spend time with her outside of work).
Expressiveness: Pretty well!
While her mouth and eyes cannot alter to extremes (as these are the cassette compartment and solid display screen respectively), she can still move them quite well to emote!
Due to the DVD player part of her, words can sometimes replace her eyes. These are dependent on strong mood/emotions in the moment.
