Alternate Name Dialogue
(deltarune spoilers)
During the character creation at the start of the game, there are a few alternate dialogues when entering names.
Naming a vessel with an existing character’s name
After entering the vessel’s name, the game has a default dialogue: WE CALLED IT “<NAME>.” However, entering an existing character’s name triggers the following alternate dialogue:
Eighteen names trigger the above dialogue:
SUSIE
NOELLE
KRIS
TORIEL
ASRIEL
ASGORE
SANS
PAPYRUS
ALPHYS
UNDYNE
RUDY
BERDLY
CATTY
CATTI
BRATTY
GERSON
JOCKINGTON
QC
Similar to Undertale, entering “GASTER” for the vessel’s name will cause the game to restart.
Naming the creator with an existing character’s name
After entering a name for the creator, the game displays the default dialogue: “<NAME>.” EXCELLENT. TRULY EXCELLENT. Depending on the name entered, there are two alternate dialogues.
First alternate dialogue:
The following names trigger the above dialogue:
TORIEL
ASRIEL
ASGORE
SANS
PAPYRUS
ALPHYS
UNDYNE
RUDY
BERDLY
CATTY
CATTI
BRATTY
GERSON
JOCKINGTON
QC
Second alternate dialogue:
The following names trigger the above dialogue:
SUSIE
NOELLE
KRIS
Entering “GASTER” for the creator’s name will cause the game to quit completely.
Naming both the vessel and the creator the same
If the creator’s name matches the name given to the vessel, the following alternate dialogue is used:
This occurs even if the name is an existing character’s name.
Food Preferences: Diamonds and Hearts ♦️ ♥️
(deltarune spoilers)
There’s no doubt that the Darkburger is a good healing item -- +70hp is pretty reliable! But, depending on a character’s preference, you can do a little better. Particularly this is important with the items you can buy infinite times. As such, this doesn’t count one-time items such as the TopCake.
Choco Diamond:
Kris: +80 HP
Susie: +20 HP (”THAT’S it?”)
Ralsei: +50 HP (”Aww, thanks, Kris!”)
In Chapter 1, don’t feed your ChocDiamonds to Susie -- save them for Kris!
Noelle: +35 HP to both her and Kris (”Umm, it’s ok, Kris, I’ll share...”)
However, if you still have ChocoDiamonds in Chapter 2, you can actually use the item to heal both Kris and Noelle when they are in a party together!
Hearts Donut:
Kris: +20 HP
Susie: +80 HP (”Mmm, blood!”)
Ralsei: +50 HP (”Aah, sticky...”)
In Chapter 1, don’t feed your HeartsDonuts to Kris -- save them for Susie!
Noelle: +30 HP (”Mmm... what!? It’s blood!?”)
This remains true in Chapter 2. Noelle may gain more health than Kris, but not by much.
Ralsei is neutral to both foods and heals +50, making Darkburger the best (infinitely buyable) item you can feed him.

Pirouette: It’s Not Random
(deltarune spoilers) Pirouette is an ACT that can be used against the hidden boss Jevil, causing him to become tired. In addition, it comes with a not-so-random secondary effect.
There are 9 different effects for Piroutte that cycle in order. Every 9 turns, the cycle resets back to 1.
✅ = Using Pirouette this turn will have no negative side effects ❌ = Using Pirouette this turn will have consequences
✅ Turn 1:
* What! * It was just foley!
The game chooses a random number between 0 and 2 and plays a noise. Unable to use this on the very first turn of the battle as TP gauge is empty.
✅ Turn 2:
* JEVIL felt at ease! * JEVIL's defense dropped!
Jevil’s defense decreases. Attacks deal more damage against Jevil this turn.
❌ Turn 3:
* Awkward! Upcoming attack will hurt rapidly!
Jevil’s bullets fire at the same speed, but period of time you are invincible after being hit decreases, making you vulnerable to being hit more frequently. (Fewer i-frames.)
✅ Turn 4:
* Tranquil! * The dance defended the party!
Reduces Jevil’s attack damage. This is equal to the attack reduction received from Hypnotize.
✅ Turn 5:
* What! * It's nothing but a useless bird!
The game creates a bird and makes a noise.
✅ Turn 6:
* It felt comforting!
Heals a random party member a random amount between 25 and 55.
✅ Turn 7:
* Everyone's HP got jumbled up!
HP switches randomly between party members. Ralsei can be given 110 HP total (from Susie) this way. Additionally, it can revive party members.
❌ Turn 8:
* JEVIL's upcoming move got powered up!
Jevil’s attack damage is increased by 1.25 (125%).
✅ Turn 9:
* A perfect 10!
All party members are healed a random amount between 20 and 40.
