This one was really hard for me, as I've noticed that in the current day and age of Deltarune, there's not really any "major" AUs.... Most of them are single swaps without any larger context (Spamton <--> Tenna, anyone?) or are just headcanons without a larger basis. Like, I've seen plenty of Spamton and Tenna recovery comics, but none of them are truly AUs within the context. And, of course, there's pre-Chapter 3 and even 2 AUs that exist, but the list above is mainly about AUs that are still... Existing today. While Paper Trail could be your favorite, it's not exactly something still going on in our post Chapters 3 and 4 era. I thought about counting the Undertale Spamtenna AU, but felt like it was more of a, well, Undertale AU than a Deltarune one. Although you're free to disagree with me.

more about that deltashift AU i started! (i actually drew these ages ago but i wasn’t satisfied enough to share. oh well. i haven’t gotten more work done on it.)

i got more concept work done for susie, i actually like this idea for her more than just making her a shy wreck like canon noelle. i’m debating still making her the new kid like in canon, her life situation is still the same, only her character is different.

aaand ralsei! in canon ralsei is based on comparison to asriel right? what if i instead made him a comparison to noelle? since i decided in this au that noelle would be the family member sent away for school! probably not college but more like a fancy private school for gifted kids. debating making this ralsei female just to push the comparison further, but i do like the name Leonel the most of these options. open to ideas!

RGB!DELTASHIFT: MAIN SHIFTS

Ok! Sorry for the delay, but I'm ready to share more of my AU with you guys! Yes, all the Undertale shifts will carry over to this take.

Replacement -> Role

Sans and Papyrus -> Asgore and Toriel:

Sans used to be a lawyer, until he was suspected of using forged evidence during the Holidays investigation

He now runs his own supermarket, although not many people visit nowadays

Is continuing his investigations, whether he like it or not, because he believes it's his duty to prove his client's innocence to make up for their false imprisonment

Papyrus is "your" landlord, who's been distant from Sans since the other became obsessed with the case, but he still cared for his wellbeing

He'd rather forget about all that thought, and try to "move on"

Papyrus's probably a cop? idk, I haven't put much thought into context and shit

Asgore and Toriel -> Alphys and Undyne:

Toriel's now the head lawyer of Hometown's local jurisdiction, although nowadays she's more busy with paperwork than actually defending the innocent.

Asgore's a biology professor at Hometown High

Not much to say bc they don't do much

Alphys and Undyne -> Napstablook and Mettaton:

Alphys's a law graduate who's just started work at Toriel's law firm

She's not very confident in herself, with her inexperience compared to everyone else there and the pressure of being their only source of income

I sure hope her mentor can stick around to help!

The only reason I could see Undyne staying at home for is her having some chronic illness/mobility difficulty that makes it difficult for her to find work, so Alphys kinda has to be the breadwinner

She desperately wants to help Alphys and do her fair share of work, despite her own limitations, and hopes to one day be able to help and support those around her

Napstablook and Mettaton -> Asriel and Chara:

Napstablook was imprisoned for the assumed death and disappearance of Rudy Holiday

None of their family believe it was them

This is the case that Sans was accused of forgery and has since been trying to figure out

Mettaton, much like Chara in Deltarune, does not exist and cannot hurt you

Asriel and Chara -> Papyrus and Sans:

The Dreemurr kids have just returned from college, and have moved back in with their parents while trying to find work

Chara has opted to running a flower shop, inspired by their father's love for plants

They're also the weird biology nerd that loves weaponizing their degree to scare folks, whether through fake organs/gore or off-putting biology facts

Asriel? He studied Computer Science because he wanted to be a game developer but.... he's busy...

Also Flowey is Gaster. Problem is I don't know who to pair either of them up with.

Howdy!!! If you've stumbled upon this blog I'm sure you're wondering what the hell FORTYSHITS is. Well, FORTYSHITS is a roleshift au based on giving STORYSHIFT a DELTARUNE equivalent, with FORTYSHITS being the best anagram of STORYSHIFT I could come up with. The current roles are as follows - Mew Mew -> Susie -> Carol -> Gaster -> Dess -> Toby Dog -> Gerson -> Rudy -> Man Behind the Tree -> Noelle -> Mew Mew AND Tenna -> Ralsei -> Jevil -> Eram -> Queen -> Spamton -> Lancer -> Seam -> Friend -> King -> Tenna more rolewheels are being worked on but none are absolute yet, if you may, feel free to ask whatever questions you'd like, seriously I'll answer anything about any of the cast, and yes, base STORYSHIFT roles are canon, minor characters also shift in addition to them :3
