Trouble - Marina x Amelink x Andrew
a/n: I had so much fun writing this request! Definitely, the three of them would be such good friends! I'll always be mad at Krista for not giving us more Maya and Andrew scenes. 💔
"Hey Maya, can I invite Andrea tonight as well? I just called him and he needs cheering up, plus he probably has nothing better to do," Carina asked as she entered the room.
"So you want him to fifth wheel on our double date? That will cheer him up?"
"You don't need to call it that. It's just a fun night out with a couple of friends," Carina winked, knowing that Maya wasn't too keen on the idea of a double date in the first place.
"Yeah ok, invite him, I love your brother. We do need to decide on where we're going though, nothing too fancy," Maya said. She had met Andrew a couple of times and found out she had a lot in common with him. She genuinely enjoyed spending time with him and understood why her sister loved him so much straight away.
"Ok, fine, we don't have to do anything too romantic. Amelia and Link are really relaxed people so I'm sure they'll be up for anything," Carina agreed, wanting more of a fun night out than a sit down dinner. "I'll let Andrea know."
Maya got up quickly once she heard the doorbell, greeting Amelia and Link at the door. "Hey guys! And you must be Maya," Link introduced himself having never met Maya before.
Maya was relieved to see that Link seemed just as nice as Carina had explained to her, similar to his partner Amelia, who she'd only encountered one or two times.
"It's so great to meet you," Maya replied.
"Ciao Amelia, come in!" Carina said as she approached them too, gesturing for them to come inside.
"So, what are we doing tonight?" Amelia asked, as they still had no plan for where they were going.
"Maya and I were thinking of doing something fun rather than a sit-down meal, if you're up for that?" Carina stated.
Amelia, Link and Andrew looked at each other and shrugged. "I'm up for anything," Link added.
"Great, so any ideas?" Maya asked.
"Maybe something like bowling and then we can grab a drink afterwards?" Amelia suggested.
Link didn't look too sure of the idea which made Maya laugh. "I find bowling can get a bit boring after a while, but if you all agree then it's fine by me." Maya loved how smitten Link seemed to be with Amelia, and she took a liking to him immediately.
"Fair enough. Any other ideas?" Amelia laughed.
A smirk formed on Andrew's face as he looked at the group, "What about roller skating?"
"Yes! There's that new rink that just opened nearby, I've been wanting to try it out!" Link said enthusiastically, high-fiving him. Maya was on board with this idea too. Amelia and Carina shared a wary smile but were happy to do anything that pleased their partners.
Carina and Amelia leaned against the railings as they took a break from attempting to skate, both not as skilled as they would like to be at balancing on the skates. "How are they going so fast?" Amelia asked in awe of her boyfriend racing Maya and Andrew across the floor.
"I have no idea, I just hope we won't have to make any trips to the ER," Carina joked.
"Who would've thought that those three would get along so well?" Amelia said as she watched Link and Andrew teasing Maya.
"Well, Andrew said he really bonded with Link over music and they actually play their guitars at the bar every now and then. Link and Maya are bonding over sports, it's the perfect match," Carina laughed.
"Yeah, I'm glad Link found some sports buddies because I am not the most athletic person," said Amelia, genuinely happy Link had friends to share his hobbies with.
"You and me both," agreed Carina as they attempted to skate over to their friends. "Maybe the the two of them and two of us should date instead," Carina said with a playful wink.
"There you two are," Andrew said, laughing at how his sister was struggling to come to a halt. "Don't let her slow you down," he joked to Amelia.
"Shut up Andrea," Carina said, swatting her brother on the arm.
Link turned to Amelia and asked, "So are we gonna have some fun together now? Come on, come with me," he smiled as he skated away from her backwards with his arms out, signalling for her to follow his lead.
"If I fall I'm gonna kill you," Amelia said as she skated into his arms. Link laughed as he embraced her and pulled her forwards gently, and they skated around the rink together.
The others smiled as they watched the couple go, and Maya wrapped an arm around Carina's waist, both as a caring gesture and to help her to keep standing. "Are you having fun?" Carina asked her.
"I really am actually. Who would've thought I'd have so much in common with these guys," Maya laughed.
"She's definitely my favourite girlfriend you've had Carina. I approve," Andrew said with a wink. He was the younger brother and they did have a lot of banter, but he genuinely wanted to protect her and loved seeing her so happy with Maya.
"I don't need your approval idiot, but thank you," Carina said, rolling her eyes playfully. She and Maya started to rock from side to side together when a slower song came on, looking lovingly into the other's eyes.
