another 6th LI take: the fundamental bond between each LI and the MC
i experienced another eureka while going through some of the lore guys. im not writing any fancy introduction because i want to rant about this somewhere. as always none of this is confirmed though sometimes i like to pretend it is. it is okay. the 6th LI will be great regardless.
alright so i feel like by summarising the main dynamic between each LI and the MC we might be another step closer to guessing what "bond" the 6th LI could represent.
let us start with rafayel, xavier, and zayne first. this is specifically about their origin (?) myths.
RAFAYEL - a deity and his devout follower.
forgotten sea (the first lemurian myth). i think this is self-explanatory. everybody knows this.
XAVIER - a prince and his loyal knight.
shooting stars (lightseeker). xavier might have made MC queen at the end but she is not royalty at all plus they had an entire discussion earlier about MC wanting to be xavier's knight when he becomes king (or xavier wanting her to be his knight i forgot, but same thing).
ZAYNE - divine balancer of fates and umm, a little misfit he took under his wing.
this can be seen in tower of secrets (foreseer) and snowfall's embrace (master of fate). he's this tough, inapproachable guy who ends up melting like snow for the MC, who tumbled into his life like a little leopard cub tripping over its fuzzy tail like aww 🥹❤️🩹
in all three myths you can notice a power imbalance of sorts between these 3 LIs and the MC. rafayel, xavier, and zayne are supposed to be in powerful positions, and at least socially, have more authority over the MC (it's a societal/hierarchical thing i would never endorse male authority over any female okay).
like you have a literal deity of the entire ocean, divine emissary who maintains fate, and a prince who is next-in-line for the throne, destined to rule an entire galaxy (philos) of multiple planets. there's an obvious assymetry between the MC and these three LIs.
the MC, for these three LIs, is meant to be a sacrificial lamb. rafayel, xavier, and zayne were supposed to sacrifice her for a "greater good" ; rafayel for lemuria, xavier for philos, and zayne for 'astra'/maintaining cosmic harmony (she is a 'variable'). but despite holding so much power and responsibility, their arcs are defined by their refusal to carry out such a 'duty', and their persistent defiance of fate itself, ultimately leading to their downfall.
i think this is worth noting because this is the fundamental bond between the MC and the OG3 as they're called. now let us compare this with sylus and caleb.
SYLUS - two halves of one soul
this is literally canon actually. it's not just soulmates here, oh no.. they literally share a single soul, half-half each. i think everybody knows that but in case you don't I'll try pulling up a reddit thread or an analysis video about it if you like (and if I find one) just lmk. they both also share an AETHER CORE. another thing is that both of them are kind of shunned and cursed in the myths. they stand on equal footing, partners in crime tbh.
CALEB - two flowers from the same stem
i think everybody is aware of this too but basically they share the same origin. like adam and eve. or better yet, as the recent caleb myth reveals, like YIN&YANG, which are not separate entities that clash but two complementary forces that represent the same unified whole. they cannot exist without each other. also, they've been together since who knows when. there's a certain kinship between them that transcends mere childhood lovers as they've experienced hell together from such a tender age. which is why they also stand on equal footing.
what is it that makes these two love interests' arcs different from the OG3?
OG3 embrace the asymmetry, the differences in their origins, their fight against a cruel sacrifice that comes off as selfish to the ones they reject. their abandonment of a great responsibility that came with their great power. while for sylus and caleb, the writers uphold unity, the "oneness" that is composed of two equal parts, a cosmic symbiosis.
what led me to this spiralling, and how does it link to the 6th LI?
in a previous post (i'll link below), i mentioned that the 6th LI could represent the egyptian sun god ra, and if not, he and MC could represent shu and tefnut. i totally retract the latter theory now, because the divine twins (shu and tefnut) kind of mirrors caleb and MC being YIN&YANG/adam&eve the more I think about it. also because i realized something EPIC. it was sooo basic honestly but I totally missed this.
I feel that if infold continues with this "unified whole, two halves" theme for sylus, caleb, and then the 6th LI, it would only make perfect sense for the 6th LI and the MC to also share ONE thing as well - but what, exactly? ...THE EYE OF RA!!!!! ☀️☀️☀️🌞🌞🌞🌄🌄🌅🌅🔥🔥🔥
if the 6th LI is the sun god ra (masculine), the MC could be the EYE of ra (which is feminine), and by extension she would represent the two main goddesses (or one, technically) who represent it: hathor (the nurturing goddess of love, embodying his care) and sekhmet (the violent goddess of destruction, embodying his wrath).
hathor and sekhmet are two facets of one goddess. simply think of sekhmet as the bloodthirsty wolf version of a werewolf (hathor). this is mentioned in the "Book of the Heavenly Cow," where ra punishes humans who were plotting against him by sending "his eye" (sekhmet) who even goes overboard in her destruction, disobeying ra and threatening to wipe out humanity entirely. she is then transformed into the gentler hathor after ra tricks her into drinking from a river of blood-red beer (to calm sekhmet's bloodlust).
another thing is that much like greek mythology and others, ancient egyptian mythology also seemed to feature "family wreaths" rather than trees. this might be controversial, but this is just how their mythology was. for example, shu and tefnut as i mentioned are "divine twins" and so are their children, the earth god geb and the sky goddess nut, who are also a couple.
the sun god, however, has his "eye." depending on the myths, it functions as a daughter, wife, or mother, or even all three simultaneously. hathor is rarely, if in any text, described as a sister, and ancient egyptians primarily focused on these three roles. do note that i am not endorsing incest, this is all mythology, i did not write it for the ancient egyptians or greeks. anyway, does this mean the MC and 6th LI will also feature a "taboo topic" such as this? likely no. the MC and 6th LI will not be biologically related at all and it is illogical to assume so, just like how caleb and MC aren't biologically related. besides, the taboo-ness of a father-daughter dynamic (major power imbalance) would pretty much contradict this "equal footing" pattern infold seems to have set up, and interestingly, even the relationship between ra and the eye.
if the eye, hathor/sekhmet, functions as a daughter, it means she wouldn't exist without him, and if as a mother, it means ra wouldn't exist without her. and as a couple, they both STAND ON EQUAL FOOTING. they both balance each other. each aspect symbolises their interdependence.
hathor isn't a mere subordinate, she is his essence, as he is hers. this also explains why despite several ancient texts mentioning hathor/sekhmet as disobeying ra, the ULTIMATE pharaoh of the egyptian pantheon, or her wreaking havoc and vowing the eradication of humanity, he never "punishes" her or demands her return or submission.
he becomes desperate, calming her down, trying to negotiate with her, or seeking the god of wisdom thoth's help. ra and the eye are true partners, and honestly, I find that beautiful, because feminine and masculine are both supposed to balance each other to maintain cosmic order, which the ancient egyptians called ma'at. in a way, it greatly juxtaposed the more wellknown greek gods' relationships with their wives, which often maintain patriarchy, as seen by how zeus is second to NONE and especially NOT his wife hera, who he regularly cheats on and has even violently punished (kind of graphic ngl).
it is also important to understand that hathor/sekhmet wasn't merely a goddess of love/destruction. various texts from the old kingdom to the ptolemaic dynasty affirm her status as "the mistress of the sky" and "the lady of the stars," and even as a "celestial river" (the milky way) upon which ra's solar barque sailed for the underworld. and as his eye, hathor was his ultimate power and protector. the ancient egyptians emphasized his vulnerability without her.
now, why do i feel this EYE is so important to potentially understand the 6th LI and the MC?
throughout the main story, we often see the MC being watched over by a cosmic eye. some fans say it belongs to sylus, some say it belongs to caleb, some say it belongs to the 6th LI, but rather than belongs to one, now i say, it might be connected to all three. a single eye belonging to ra and embodied by hathor, much like the singularity of the soul sylus and MC share and the singularity of the source caleb and MC originate from.
these red eyes surrounded by crimson and black mist, appearing earlier in the main story, might've foreshadowed sylus.
this eye which appeared at the very end of xavier's prologue to tomorrow main story branch looked a little reptililian, with pinkish/orange hues. it might've foreshadowed caleb, which kind of makes sense because the very next main story update was in fact homecoming wings.
now this eye. it appeared at the end of galactic sunsets, chapter 8 of the main story. it also appeared at the very end of xavier&rafayel's to our yesterday. both scenes featuring this particular eye also showcased each of the officially added love interests bracing for something inevitable. it felt like a closure of some kind and the beginning of a new era. traceback ii states earth is located in the "orion arm of the milky way." well, this eye is not some random celestial object, it is in fact the helix nebula, which is also located in the "orion arm of the milky way." i mentioned in a previous post that this nebula is also called "the eye of god." could this eye be foreshadowing the 6th love interest?
this is quite a lot to take in. so let us return to the summary of each LI's bond with the MC.
'SACRIFICE.'
RAFAYEL - deity and devout follower
XAVIER - prince and loyal knight
ZAYNE - divine being and,, captive/refugee (?)
'SINGULARITY.'
SYLUS - two halves of a single soul
CALEB - two flowers of a single stem
THE 6TH LI - two bearers of a single eye

before I end, i also want to touch on something related to him. the recent caleb myth (netherlord caleb) has lots of lotus imagery and i mentioned the possibility of the 6th LI's representative flower being the blue egyptian lotus. don't worry. my point still stands. the egyptian lotus is actually a waterlily and not a lotus despite its name 😈 AND YES THIS ALSO SEEMS FITTING because rafayel's representative flower is the flame lily!! I believe i mentioned that,, the foil thing again. also rafayel's domain is the sea, while the 6th LI, if ra, would have the sky (and sun?) as his domain. like wow. this is too tuff. I like it. june 06....2026....we are waiting..
