Damn, I almost had an update to the cursed radioactive plate saga but I Don't... I'd gone back to the store I found it at, and a guy there recognized the picture of the plate. He'd identified it as coming in with a bunch of plates from a local (NZ) maker, saying it was a Delware piece. But upon further research into Delware plates, and since acquiring a few old pieces... none of them are radioactive. They're very cool in their own way but not spicy. They also don't really match the cursed plate visually.
Once again if anyone might have any information about radioactive plates (specifically weird little enamel plates) please reach out! I'm not above putting a bounty on this little fucker because I just want to know what makes it so radioactive and weird.

Creature Feature: Selbyville Swamp Monster
In the 1960s, an actor named Fred Stevens dressed up as this hairy monster to frighten passing road users, apparently to provide a juicy ongoing story for a newspaper editor friend. However, sightings of the beast since and even decades before Stevens’ hoax are a good reason to stay vigilant.
Descriptions of the monster are inconsistent; sometimes it is said to be a hairy bipedal creature, while other accounts describe a ghostlike figure.
