Demetri accelerates the boat. Wet flopping indicates both his merman boyfriends are failing to climb the railing again.
“You’ll dry out,” he says. “Need me to get the tank?”
“We need another win!” comes Eli’s whine.
“We were gonna start a trophy collection!” comes Miguel’s mutter.
Demetri sighs. “Miguel, your tail injury acted up again. Eli, you’re recovering from the Eel Kais making their shark bite your entire crest off. No dangerous activities for now!”
They grumble, but don’t fight further.
“Cheer up! I’ll show you more human video games.”
