The words spoken by his adversary did not make the least sense in the man’s head, not that they were incomprehensive, but to say that he has been noted as a criminal? It was almost laughable.
While he was cornered up by dozens of guards to the edge of the marshes in knee deep water; Break was forced to draw his blade to make ends meet - it was the first time in his life to spill innocent blood, but without his little demonstration of strength the city guards would not have been wary about stepping beyond the line. They could talk perfectly fine over this distance, any step closer would not be necessary.
