well, you know how I feel about that fucker.
@demisexualcinderella on Freud
like my own personal journey with labels was straight i guess --> bi --> lesbian? --> "queer" w/ priority for girls --> demisexual --> sapphic asexual and i'm very happy with my current identity it feels like i finally found the thing that fits and feels comfortable. you just gotta kind of jump in without being so afraid of being "wrong" Bc if you start surrounding yourself with more lgbt info and people, it can lead you in directions you might have never known existed!!
yeah maybe i might try that out someday! for now im still kind of afraid of offending people so i think i’ll go with the ‘we’ll see’ approach and not label myself yet
Hey, so I'm sapphic and one of the biggest things that helped me accept and discover that is deciding to come out as bi to a few people in my life and start to accept that side of me. I know lesbian girls who "started" as bi then just started calling themselves a lesbian and realized that is who they were. I think if you're confused and don't know who you are yet, it's okay to try out a label. Even in private or in a space like your blog where people you know irl can't see. (cont.)
if you try a label for yourself and after some time you decide “no, this wasn’t right and it didn’t work I’m straight” that’s okay and it doesn’t mean you were lying or you’re hurting the lgbt community. You seem like you care a lot about what’s right and not hurting anybody else, but you’re allowed to have a totally “selfish” journey to figure yourself out. Labels aren’t for anyone else but you. just like we try on clothes before we buy them and some of them don’t fit, you can def explore wlw
wow thank you, seriously! this reassured this me so much! cause so afraid of being the wannabe snowflake and also of people being like no you can’t sit with us
like you said i’m so afraid other upsetting ppl in the community espcially friends so really thank you for this message <3
