I think I managed to catch The Hare on camera..??

Fair warning, my face is scratched out because I looked really dumb (I was in the middle of talking to a family member over video chat).

It’s really grainy, I know, but please, for the love of the gods, tell me someone else sees it in the right corner. If need be I can try to draw an outline around the shape, but there’s two black lines crossing over my closet door that look suspiciously like The Hare’s rabbit ears.

Howdy, lone traveler. I'm surprised to see anyone following my account on here. It's hanging... decently, I suppose.

[OUT OF CHARACTER POST]

Hey folks, it's the creator here. I've been pretty busy with school and work as of late, but as the year is nearing to an end I'm getting more free time. And that has lead to me thinking about my arg here.

I've mentioned before that I'm stuck at a standstill and I still haven't gotten past it. No major updates have been made because the story hadn't been written out past the death scene for the Rexxy Rabbit character. I had initially planned for the series to be a slenderverse arg, but I realized quickly that I lack both the actors and the editing capabilities to do so.

I opted instead to rewrite the initial story to better fit my abilities, since I'm one person and am creating in one form: digital.

I have, however, been considering scrapping the arg I'm currently running and swapping it for the initial arg I had planned. I know this might frazzle a few folks, seeing as this arg has been going on since, like, August of 2022 (maybe earlier, idk).

I won't delete anything off of this blog, but I am going to officially halt the story here. It isn't completely over, consider this a hiatus from the story. I have another blog that I will most likely use for my new arg once it gets started up. I'll make a post on this blog announcing the new arg once it's been fully written out and planned. Properly, this time.

I'm not satisfied with the story I have and I've been devoid of motivation to even start on the prop making process, simply because this arg doesn't have my full attention anymore.

This isn't to say that I'm ungrateful for the progress I've made on this blog, but it is to say that without change, I'll never be able to tell a story that interests me.

With that being said, thank you to everyone for your support of my story, Los espookies wouldn't be here without you guys. I love y'all <3.

As far as I'm aware, the folklore and spookiness are pretty different, even in places that are relatively nearby! I like hearing about that kind of stuff, so really it's just more things for me to learn >:3

It's now time that I share some of the folklore I grew up with!!

Starting with the hide-behinds, idk where they came from, or when, but they're spirits that will hide behind trees/buildings and peek out at you. They mostly just creep you out, BUT I have heard stories where they hide behind actual people and then those people die. I'm not sure if they're eating them or..?

Next is the chupacabra, I feel like most people know this one. Then the mothman, which is a man-sized moth that can predict disaster.

There's several different mermaids/sirens out there but the ones I grew up with were former natives who were either drowned or who chose to drown to escape the colonizers when they came to the are. Some versions of the story say that if you give them an offering they'll tell you where to get good fish.

There's a few stories I grew up with that I'm sure my parents didn't mean for me to learn of. There's one of a man who carries many masks with him, always changing his "face" whenever he meets new people, often stealing the face of some poor stranger who got in his way.

There's the void-beings which are these grey skinny dudes that have no eyes and a mouth full of sharp teeth. They're said to always "watch" their prey for a while before eating them.

I'm from south america over here it feels like we have two seasons: HOT and a week or two of cold. A whole month if I'm lucky!

The southern region of North America is pretty similar. We've got hot, Satan's ass, less hot, and "bring a jacket, it's kinda cold." (Except cold for us is anything under 70° Fahrenheit. That's 21° Celsius for anyone not North American )

I've heard a lot of stories from South America about cryptids and spookies, I wonder if our folklore are the same?

Not so loud! If los espookies find out school's been bothering you, they might blow it up!

I honestly don't think they'd go that far. Maybe intimidation or blackmail, but not full on bombing.

On another note, it's been slowly getting chillier out. Soon enough it'll be autumn, fall, spooky season, whatever you call it. (I'm southern so we call it fall/less hot summer)

Here's the monthly post stating that I am in fact alive, just very, very busy with school and work.

Los Espookies are still spookie, I'm still digging into my past and family history, yada yada.

I have made a few acquaintances at school, though I try to avoid getting too close to anyone, just in case they're secretly shitty.

In other news, my parents are out of town for the funeral of a coworker, which means I get to sit in the living room and be lazy rather than sit in my room and be lazy.

The things The Hare has said... I don't know how much of it is truth but you may want to keep that information in mind in your searches. And uuuhhh... Watch what you eat? I get the feeling some of the latest meals you've had tasted like some... Strange type of pork or something. Not a good sign. But I don't know if you have any other choice when it comes to diet.

I'd rather not try to explain my dietary needs, at least not anytime soon. But yeah, I'll definitely keep The Hare's stories in mind. I'll start digging around in my shed once I've had a "conversation" with The Hare.
