Can someone explain to me how voting in the United States works? In Canada as soon as you get enough seats to secure your win, that’s it you’ve won. I thought the race would be over once one candidate got enough delegates? Why are people are still voting? If Bernie gets enough to also secure him would it just be whoever gets the most?
Today is county convention day! It’s also the day our district has a caucus to elect delegates to the state convention. Wish me luck!
So Bernie’s campaign, at least in my state, doesn’t seem to be all that organized. They sent me an e-mail asking if I’m a delegate and asked me to sign up for a delegate training call. I picked a time for the call...and they never gave me to info to get on it. I e-mailed the campaign immediately, hoping to get on the other training call...and they never replied. Both training calls are over and done now and I haven’t heard a thing back from the campaign at all.
I had actual questions that are important to answer, too. For example: My district has the option of combining the Legislative Caucus and County Convention. How do I find out if that’s happening? I’ve since found out we’re doubling up, but what about delegates even worse at Google than I? How will they know? I had to dig through the legalese of the Dem rule book to find that we even could double up. There’s a reason I wanted to ask my questions on the call.
I’m disappointed.
