What if instead of breaking up Demo and Soldier's friendship with War!, the Administrator broke it up with love?
A crack concept that came to me at 2AM, taken somewhat seriously.
The Administrator rifled through the pictures, looking more and more befuddled by each one. "This … this, friendship. This won't do at all." She took a hurried huff of her cigar, holding one particular picture of Demo hugging a shark - and Soldier - up to the light.
"What are we going to do?" she asked, praying she'd have at least an hour to dig the gravel pits.
"In my experience, Miss Pauling," the Administrator snapped back, still half-lost in a haze of her own thoughts, "nothing kills a friendship faster than a romance."
