“Fuck you,” Light spat. “I should hit you again. Once clearly wasn’t enough.” “You should. The first one barely stung. Maybe another will teach me a lesson.”  And so he did. He struck L again, across the nose this time, watching his head viciously snap to the side. Fury had Light’s muscles locking in place beneath him. It wasn’t even enough to make him bleed. What would it take to make him bleed?  L brought a hand up to his nose, running a finger down the bridge and massaging his nostril. His mouth hung open, but it was an expression of pleasure more than pain.  “Ngh– yeah,” He righted his face, staring up at Light with an expectant look in his half-lidded eyes. “Keep going.” Light was too angry to react, thinking up countless ways to hurt L instead, ways that would actually cut him deep, bypassing that ironclad skin of his. He wanted to leave his mark on L, the way L had branded him when they’d first made this pact. It wasn’t fair that he couldn’t, limited by his human strength. It wasn’t fair at all. L caught Light’s hesitation, sharpened canines dipping into his lower lip.  “Go on,” He goaded. “But this time, hit me like you mean it.”
