After ten minutes of torment, an ominously cackling printer squeezed out a sheet of paper with an intricate symbol on it.
Izuku sighed as he finished grinding flower pollen with glitter, and prepared to go Plus Ultra with all his possible hidden talents.
Who would have thought that it was so easy to dared him to do something like that.
The website shone with every possible shade of lilac and acid green, the cursor spat iridescent sparks at any slightest movement of the hand, and floating letters happily announced discounts on amulets and complex removal of the evil eye and spells for only half the price.
Izuku shrugged. Uraraka pressed her finger on the screen.
“This shit works! Trust me, the next day I found a ten thousands yen bill!”
“It must have been lost by the person who rented an apartment before you, there’s nothing supernatural about it,” the teenager drawled skeptically.
“Then how do you explain the strange events at Todoroki’s house?”
“Indeed, Midoriya, the facts do not lie: after the soul summoning ritual from this site, we began to hear strange sounds, and nii-san’s favorite pies began to disappear.”
“See? This is the ghost with whom they managed to establish contact!” Triumphantly stamped Uraraka, and Todoroki nodded with an unreadable expression, agreeing with her words.
Izuku appreciated his free time. Therefore, he decided that instead of trying to convince his sometimes overly persistent friends, he really should try to do some simple ritual. Then he would tell them that, of course, nothing worked out for him, and they’d calm down... at least for a while.
Making the final touch, Izuku looked dubiously at the result of his work.
The symbol on the floor, modestly located next to the carpet and vaguely resembling a hybrid of cat’s head and Cthulhu, looked back at him.
The teenager frowned. He had nothing to lose.
Taking a deep breath of the aromatic stench from his mother's borrowed Ikea candles, Izuku prepared to cast a summoning spell.
But as soon as he opened his mouth, clouds of dark smoke filled the pentagram. Scarlet reflections jumped along the walls of the room, a whirlwind of energy burst from the floor with a terrible groan — crashing into the closet, it instantly smashed it to smithereens.
Izuku closed his eyes and covered his head with hands, trying to dodge the debris flying in the air.
“Who dared to disturb my peace...”
The teen, huddled against the wall, tried to become even smaller.
It seems that the whirlwind had calmed down, but in its place appeared... something.
Izuku turned a blind eye to the creature frozen in the center of the room in the most dramatic pose.
“Despicable mortal! Did you dare to call me, the Greatest of the Greats...” Suddenly a high horned shadow made a strangled sound. “Izuku?!”
The teenager covered his mouth with his hand.
“D-daaad?!”
There was an awkward silence.
"Fuck..." With round eyes, Izuku whispered. The demon shook his finger at him.
“Language, young man!” The young man mentioned narrowed his eyes.
“So, does mom know about your...” The teen waved his hand, clearly pointing to a cloak of shadows, leathery wings, shining fiery eyes and other demonic paraphernalia.
Gently prying the remnants of the carpet with its tail, the demon raised an eyebrow.
“I can ask you the same question.”
Izuku gasped. The demon smiled broadly.
“In that case, I propose a deal: you do not tell your mother about my... not quite official employment, and I help you to eliminate the consequences of the call. Do you agree?”
Despite self-consciousness, there sounded hope in the demon's voice, carefully hidden from human eyes, ears and other senses.
Izuku looked back at him expressively.
The demon winced.
“So be it, plus I promise to get you a new All Might figurine from the upcoming limited edition. Are you satisfied now, little blackmailer?”
Izuku beamed.
“Thanks, dad, you are the best!” He chirped happily.
The demon grinned.
But even taking into account all his insidious plans for the Izuku’s future, he still didn’t know — the calculating glint in the eyes of his offspring meant that the deal would cost him quite more than only one collectible figure.
