I think there's a running joke the naruto series missed out on, with Kakashi. Granted, this joke is tied to my personal headcanon that (instead of Tobirama being part Hatake, as is a popular fanon), instead Hatake Sakumo got his white hair from Tobirama, his deadbeat dad.
(Why is Tobirama a deadbeat, you ask? Because he died, of course. In Naruto, this is basically the same thing as being a deadbeat. What does this say about Sakumo himself? Well...)
I just think it would be particularly funny if it's not really a secret that Tobirama was Kakashi's grandfather, and thus results in them being compared constantly. But not, like, oh what a genius young Kakashi is, he must get it from his grandfather, but instead Kakashi constantly running into S-class nin who consider him to be extremely normal when held up against Lord Despicable himself.
Kakashi runs headfirst into discovering Orochimaru's experiments, and immediately goes "ah this shit is no bueno" - meanwhile Oro's research is like a direct continuation of the shit Tobi was doing. Kakashi ends up fighting missing nin who dunk on him because the worst he's gonna do to them is rip their heart out with chidori, when Tobi would've been going for, like, their soul or some shit. Kakashi, already stuck with three hellish little students who don't respect him at all, being haunted by Tobirama's reputation. Sure he's got the sharingan, the chidori, his thousand jutsu - but everyone agrees he's just got nothing on his gramps.
Kakashi's fine with this! Honestly! Considering everything he heard Tobirama got up to, he honestly considers it a compliment that everyone agrees they're very different. It's just... do they have to keep bringing it up all the time? Usually followed by him passing out from chakra exhaustion? Just let him live, please!
This would obviously come full circle with Tobirama's edo tensei resurrection, where he gets pulled back during the chuunin exams, only for him & Kakashi to just miss each other... And then he shows back up for the fourth war and literally everyone is like "it's Senju Tobirama! Kakashi's grandad!"
Kakashi in the background, reuniting with Minato-sensei and having his knock down drag out fights with Obito: I so do not have the bandwidth for dealing with my grandpa. Just... don't let him do anything evil, guys.
