Ava and Wrathia’s Horns Mini-Theory
Ok so while typing another theory I’m currently working on, I noticed that in the young photos of Wrathia her horns are short, and they grown longer and more downward in each photo until they reach what I assume is ‘full growth’ where they’ve curled under her ears and a little further downward. (I’m linking this as evidence for my current theory so that I don’t have to explain all this in the middle of a separate theory.)
^Young (I estimate this to bearound their tween years, which would make sense if the horns start growing once they start puberty.)
^I’ll come back to this one, but they’re about a fourth of the way grown.
^What I believe to be fully grown.
Now, since Ava took the potion, her skin has turned vengess-lava-y and she has grown horns. (Her ears are also pointier and her eyes change into vengess form when she’s using her powers aggressively.)
When Ava changes, her horns immediately grow to where they should be, which gives us a useful scale for horn growth. On page 0702, when accused of ‘not looking sixteen,’ Ava responds,
“Thats because I’m not sixteen. / I’m fifteen.”
Which, based on her horns*, Wrathia Is ~15 years old, or the Vengess equivalent since their years are presumably different. This is important for my next theory so keep that in mind, and if you’re here from that theory, that’s why you came here. :)
*(I’ll put an image of her horns a bit lower, I don’t want to clutter this post up that much.)
Also here’s a little bonus thing, for those interested:
In the photos of Ava’s transformation, it looks painful. There isn’t any dialogue sadly, I was going to quote it, it there’s something better; fresh blood on her face. Ava’s horns busted out violently and quickly because she didn’t grow them over time like literally every other Vengess. But the fact that there’s actual blood running down her face means that the horn isn’t friendly when starting to grown, whether it’s at a normal pace or abnormally fast.
This means that Vengess’ growing their horns, at the very beginning, is akin to a human teething.
So there’s your useless fact of the day, my friends.
