Ohh my god late night thoughts but!
I would love to write a lowkey real-world Obey Me! fic with a twist~ based off the concept of the Demon Ball post so amazingly brought into existence by @obeymestudentcouncil and I want to tag @tadokorojin since you’re the one I fangirl about Obey Me with lol!!
The concept would be an MC plays Obey Me! And is active enough in the fandom and recently made their Demon Ball board post along with everyone else for the fun meme. A few weeks pass and they get a mysterious letter inviting them to a real Obey Me! Demon Ball, and all their expenses would be payed for their dream look. “For the chance to meet and dance with the real demon brothers, the royals, and purgatory hall!”
Obviously MC is both ecstatic and skeptical, only to look on the Obey Me! Official social media’s that it’s a real event being hosted.
MC doesn’t think twice before accepting and fangirling with the other players online. MC makes their purchases online with a whopping giftcard that came with the letter- and I mean WHOPPING-, and they were to pack a couple suitcases for their ball looks and spare clothes just in case. They were driven to their nearest airport where they met with other MCs who might’ve lived in their area and they were boarded on a flight to Japan, where NTT Solmare Corp, Shall We Date would be based.
They get settled into a hotel where they end up meeting their online friends and get to catch up and speculate on what’s supposed to be happening. They figured meeting the characters would be cute boys dressed as them and in-character. Everything up to that point seemed normal and perfect. Until they were instructed to bring their suitcases with their looks with them downstairs, they would be dressed at the ball. As they made their way down, the MCs were lead to an eerie part of the hotel that seemed to radiate in an almost paranormal aura. The assistants escorting them were already acting dodgey since day one. The familiar in-game music could be heard begin to play past the large... portal-like doors...
