Jabari stirred awake, knocking over a few books on his desk. He sighed looking over the mess that was ocne his desk that he’d swear to clean. Steady work as a translator would do that to you. 

“Damn it...” he mumbled as he looked at his watch, “It’s almost midnight...who the hell would be here...”

Another thud at the door, this time a  bit more aggressive with a voice following. Jabari frowned, he was certain he heard that voice before. Walking towards his apartmnet door, seeing who the hell could be at his front door. He took a look through the peephole his eyes widening at the familiar figure at his door. Jabari quickly unlocked his door.

“Ray.” he frowned, his now muscular mass of arms folded, “What are you doing here?”

I’ve been away for a long time and no one outside of the City or elsewhere at the time knows what happened during Hunterpocalypse. Nobody here wants to talk about it and let’s be honest. Roxy will either redraw and color a shorter version of the comic in the future or it will never be finished.

And you all deserve to know how everything changed so drastically, so ask away and I won’t hold back.

Jabari looked into the stands, scanning the seats for familiar faces. Once her noticed Green a small smile found its way to his face before turning his attention to the game. He had to focus, his last few games didn’t go so well and he didn’t want to add this to the list. There were only a few more seconds in the game, and the two teams were tied. 

He guarded Abe Lincoln, well the clone of the Abe Lincoln. Out the corner of his eye he noticed the team captain, Cellese, holding the ball away from JFK. Making eye contact with his younger teammate . With a nod, he tossed the ball to Jabari. Swiftly, he crossed Lincoln dribbling to the basket. This was the shot that would end the game. Or it would have been, hadn’t Clone High’s new player, America Chavez blocking Jabari’s shot and later making the winning basket.The only thing Jabari could do is sigh upon another loss. 

Later outside of Rh’s gym, Jabari frowned as he sat near the doors. A grumble coming from him was soon followed by a large gust of wind forming around him.

“...What’s up with me..? I could have made that shot..”

An older Jabari walked into Ray’s home, his usual upbeat and alert posture was now slouched and tired. A day of dropping off the kids to their events, sparring with Ronnie, breaking up arguments a all while helping translate a secret language would make anyone tired. Plopping onto the couch, he lazily looked at his phone.

“..5 now. Ronnie gets out of leadership in teams class at 8, Mari probably won’t be ready to leave Emilys until 9, and Vic will be done with paranormal botany at 9:30...so I have a few hours.” he mumbled as he laid on his friends couch.

“Thanks for letting rest here for a bit...!” He called
