He did want something, after all, and judging by the fact that she didn’t talk about her home much, it was probably a difficult subject. Still, his curiosity got the better of him. She was his love, too, so it only made sense that he knew what he could about her situation.

Lilith flops on to the bed with a groan. "Celes doesn't want to be a big brother... he wants it to only be you, me and him forever...." Cue the tears forming in her eyes.
“I’m not living forever, Lilith.”
Jade pushed up his glasses and sighed, deciding perhaps now was not the time for such a discussion.
“So Celes is adamant about not having a baby, and you’re just as adamant about having one. That’s difficult. What are you thinking.”

The Brightest Light
@musecentralstation Everything was flawless. Jade wouldn't have it any other way, of course- he had made absolutely sure he had control over their night. With the coming of the new year, tonight was the perfect opportunity. First a dinner out, and now, a lengthy walk to one of Lilith's favorite Malkuthian cliffs. The light winds allowed one to taste the sea. Jade had thought so long about this, what it meant... He watched the spirit sit herself down and kick her legs happily. He knew he didn't deserve the joy she brought him, but they did make it this far. The Colonel mustered up a smile. Even if she couldn't see it, he hoped it would mask whatever hesistation she might have sensed from him. He joined the spirit at her side and placed a single kiss on her cheek. “What are your plans, Lilith? Do you still want to stay with me? All I know is that you're the brightest light in my life. I want to hold you as long as I can.” Jade reached into the pocket of his dress pants and removed his gift. He placed the silver ring in her hand. It had a scaled texture to it, except for one small smooth section. It varied somewhat in width all around, as the ring imitated the image of a snake. “This ring was specially made. It's my family's sigil. I'm giving it to you because I want to ask you- Lilith, will you be my wife for the rest of my life on Auldrant?”
