"Are you going to cry now?"
Irritated. Doubtlessly the right word to describe what the female was feeling at that very moment. It hadn’t been the first time that someone had gotten on her nerves in the past couple of days, and it wasn’t going to be the last time, either. The uncertainty and discomfort ( perhaps even fear, to some degree ), that life had decided to bestow upon her had most definitely not done her temper any good. She was aware of that. Oh, she was. Although anyone in her situation would have gone utterly insane, Violet tried her best not to snap at people. This had proven not to be the easiest task in the world so far, but if she was going to be wanting to survive in this place, it would be best to not piss off every single person crossing paths with her.
However, this was a different situation. Having tried nothing but to protect the man in front of her, Violet had expected for him to at least show some kind of gratitude and to mind his manners. What happened had been quite the opposite. This ( bleep ) had not only disregarded her words entirely, he had also proceeded to mock her—and let that just so happen to piss off the female within seconds. How was she supposed to know that Coke was meant to sizzle? How was she supposed to know that it was simply juice, and not some dark trick used in order to poison the man?
Bubbles in drinks? Quite dangerous, she’d believe.
‘Look, you disrespectful fool.’ She narrowed her eyes at the stranger when the can was provokingly held towards her, ready to jump away in case any of it would spill. ‘All I’m saying is that a drink should not be sizzling like that. It’s dangerous, and you might not even be able to survive. You know what, though? Go ahead. Be brave, and drink it. I am sure that I won’t be the one crying. In fact, it just might turn out to be you instead,’ Violet told him, before her voice lowered to a inaudible whisper, ‘stupid idiot’.
