he could only stare down at the female for a few moments, trying to process what she just said before ending up laughing a bit. ❝ yah, yah, yah— i’m not gonna be falling over anywhere anytime soon, thank you very much! i know how to sit in chairs just fine. ❞ looking back at the female once more to make sure she was indeed sat down, he goes to take the seat which was formerly the female’s. ❝ this isn’t even half-bad, hey? ❞
‘I am very glad to hear that.’ Her voice is sweet when she speaks, albeit the sincerity of it is questionable. After all, hadn’t it been obvious that her words were not to be taken so literally? ‘What do you say we work on your manners next? You know, it isn’t very nice of you to call a lady ‘tiny’.’
She smiles once more, genuinely this time, before getting a bit more comfortable in her seat. ‘It isn’t for you, because you are taller than me--but thank you, regardless.'
"Are you going to cry now?"
Irritated. Doubtlessly the right word to describe what the female was feeling at that very moment. It hadn’t been the first time that someone had gotten on her nerves in the past couple of days, and it wasn’t going to be the last time, either. The uncertainty and discomfort ( perhaps even fear, to some degree ), that life had decided to bestow upon her had most definitely not done her temper any good. She was aware of that. Oh, she was. Although anyone in her situation would have gone utterly insane, Violet tried her best not to snap at people. This had proven not to be the easiest task in the world so far, but if she was going to be wanting to survive in this place, it would be best to not piss off every single person crossing paths with her.
However, this was a different situation. Having tried nothing but to protect the man in front of her, Violet had expected for him to at least show some kind of gratitude and to mind his manners. What happened had been quite the opposite. This ( bleep ) had not only disregarded her words entirely, he had also proceeded to mock her—and let that just so happen to piss off the female within seconds. How was she supposed to know that Coke was meant to sizzle? How was she supposed to know that it was simply juice, and not some dark trick used in order to poison the man?
Bubbles in drinks? Quite dangerous, she’d believe.
‘Look, you disrespectful fool.’ She narrowed her eyes at the stranger when the can was provokingly held towards her, ready to jump away in case any of it would spill. ‘All I’m saying is that a drink should not be sizzling like that. It’s dangerous, and you might not even be able to survive. You know what, though? Go ahead. Be brave, and drink it. I am sure that I won’t be the one crying. In fact, it just might turn out to be you instead,’ Violet told him, before her voice lowered to a inaudible whisper, ‘stupid idiot’.
/Laughing quietly since really, that was all she could do in such situations, she wrapped her arms around the elders head wanting her to calm down/ Yes yes I know you’re my knight in shining armour that protects me from everything even..sorta..from the big bad Noah–/Naomi just had to add in that last part to make her feel better/ It’s just a joke Vilu don’t worry!
[` though still frowning, violet found herself slowly calming down in her friend’s arms, hushed mumbling still sounding from her lips for a while, until she finally quieted down completely. ] I really am, right? [` tilting her head backwards, she tried to somehow capture her gaze. ] I promise to protect you from him forever!
/Waves her hands around before covering the shorter females mouth with her hand not wanting this to start into yet another argument between her and the male/ Vilu oh my god–lets—-not—
[` even though her words are muffled by the younger’s hand, it is clear from her face that she isn’t pleased, her eyes narrowing as she continues to ramble against the milky skin. ] It’s true, it’s true! Why would you not be able to survive with me?! I always protect you! [` she continues, trying to pry away the hand from her mouth. ]
“Why can’t you listen to a single thing I say?!”
“Why can’t you show some respect?!” Was it their first fight? Hardly so. In fact, it wouldn’t even be the first time they had landed themselves into a very similar fight. Knowing the both of them, the outcome wasn’t going to be much different this time, either. It was what it was: no more than a waste of time — but did either of them care about that? Obviously not. Add together some of the most prideful, stubborn people, and a never-ending cycle of catfights is what you’ll get. “’Violet, please be careful, that toaster might give you a jumpscare,’” she suddenly spoke up, her tone of voice dripping with mockery. “Hear how polite that sounds? Now let’s recite your exact words, I believe they were along the lines of ‘VIOLET, GET THE HELL AWAY FROM THE TOASTER BEFORE YOU BREAK IT.’”
Her gaze dropped to the device that had landed on the floor with a single smack of her hand, having merely been trying to protect herself from the unexpected attack ( or what she had deemed to be an attack, at least ). “It’s your own fault for yelling at me, you and that.. thing, both of you! This wouldn’t have happened if you had calmly told me to step away!“
RP starters: Heated argument.
content warning: death baiting.
“Are you even listening to me?”
“Leave. Leave right now.”
“What more do you want?!”
“I really wish you were never born.”
“I hate you!”
“Can you just fuck off already?”
“Shut up! Just.. Shut up!”
“All you do is whine.”
“What the hell is wrong with you?!”
“I can’t do this anymore. Not with you.”
“How did that feel?”
“Oh my god, I don’t care!”
“No wonder nobody likes you.”
“Is this how little you think of me?”
“That hurt you son of a bitch…”
“Pack your shit and go. Get the fuck out of my sight!”
“Leave me alone!”
“I can break your nose if I want to.”
“Are you going to cry now?”
“I wouldn’t miss you. Nobody would.”
“You’re so pathetic!”
“I won’t forget this.”
“I’m going to break your jaw if you keep talking!”
“Why can’t you listen to a single thing I say?!”
“I have a right to be angry.”
“This would have never happened if you wouldn’t exist.”
“Get out of my life!”
“You’re nothing! Did you hear me?! Nothing!”
“You ruined everything.”

Renier continues to stare at the other with an unchanging blankness lingering on his features, and for a moment he wonders if he’d brought someone even crazier than himself into the safety of his own home. Although she didn’t seem like a huge threat, he couldn’t shake off how strange her attitude was. His impression only strengthens tenfold when she starts grasping for something that isn’t there, and he’s sure she’s lost her mind. Perhaps he’d been the wrong person to deal with her, he wasn’t particularly good with those who didn’t sit in the same mind set as his own.
“I–” He starts, at a loss for words. He raises his hands then, waggling his bare fingers at the other as he shows her an empty set of hands. “I… didn’t have any plans.” Other than getting her some help, perhaps. “Just tryna get you back home.” He shrugs, dropping his hands back down to his side. He was feeling particularly nice, and it wasn’t something he did often, but now he was starting to change his mind on whether or not he should extend a helping hand out to strangers more often. At the sudden commotion, the soft trotting of Lux started up their way and Renier snapped his fingers at her once she came into view, not wanting the dog to come any closer. He could handle the lady easily, but he didn’t know if she’d be attacking Lux or not – and he wasn’t going to risk it.
Eyebrows furrow into a frown at the sight of his empty hands, her gaze continuously shifting from left to right. The sound had been there, clearly so, and whether or not the source of it had been a weapon, fact remained that it could be dangerous. Anything could be dangerous, for she had no idea what to expect, what to believe and what to look out for. ‘That sound,’ Violet finally speaks up again, ‘where did it come from? What did you do?’
As the female speaks, her eyes remain narrowed into slits, feeling highly uncomfortable. Was she scared? Not likely, but that didn’t mean that she felt at ease: for all she knew, this was a trap, and she had yet to figure out how to not fall for it. In the stranger’s defense, he had been nicer to her than some of the previous people she had met, but that, too, could as well be an act. ‘What’s your name?’ The question is sudden, but she reckons that if she at least knows his name, the stranger would become less of a stranger. If he gave out at least his name, perhaps he had indeed meant nothing but to help her out. It seemed like a silly request, but she’d take anything that would make her feel more at ease at this point ( and she could definitely use a friend or two ).
It is then that what appears to be a huge dog catches her gaze, and the wary expression on her face instantly melts away. ‘Was that a dog? Is it yours?’ Animals. They had to be the same as where she came from, right? ‘Can I see him? Her?’
‘Just because I’ve been allowed to stay over, doesn’t mean he gets a free pass to be rude, though.’ She is irritated, that much is more than simply obvious. There’s a spark in her eyes that is akin to the one she has always had when entering a battle; a ring to her voice that could as well be the definition of anger. How dare he insult her? How dare he make fun of every single little thing she had done since they met? It was disrespectful, to say the least. Unusual, too, to someone that had always been praised and respected.
Fury continued to bubble in her blood as Violet stomped her way outside of the building, but it took no more than a simple glance to her right for the anger to slowly start fading. If there was one thing Naomi seemed to dread ( except men, and Noah ), it was fights, and if there was one person she shouldn’t be lashing out at, it was Naomi. Definitely not Naomi. ‘I’m sorry,’ comes out the sudden apology, a soft smile daringly creeping its way across the elder’s lips. ‘I didn’t mean for that to escalate… again.. Just that..’ A short silence falls, and Violet is unsure whether or not to continue talking. Her past has been anything but a secret, but the people around her had proven that it was wisest to keep your mouth shut at times. ‘He’s stupid, he doesn’t understand anything and he doesn’t want to understand anything. Just why is he so rude all the time? Where I came from, if he had treated me the way he does.. I could have easily done something about it!"

“Relax,” He mutters, fiddling with the keys in his hands before the lock finally opens with a click. Swinging the door open and taking a step inside, he turns back around to face the female, making a sweeping motion to gesture her inside his house. “It isn’t that serious. Just get in here and we can figure things out.” He isn’t entirely sure why she’s so on edge, something as simple as a car seemed to set her off and he hadn’t a clue why. But he was grateful his house was filled with an empty silence, nothing huge or life threatening around any corner that could scare her off – or so he hoped.
Nothing seemed natural and everything was out of place; days had passed since Violet had first arrived here, and yet she still did not seem any calmer than she had been before. Every single bone in her body had tensed up, every last bit of her mind signaling danger. Sure, she was brave; but she wasn’t naive, nor was she stupid. As a born fighter, she knew not to let her guard down in unknown situations ( very much like the one she had found herself in ), and even though the giant male had seemed rather friendly, something did not seem quite right. Alas, when at last the sound of a gun being loaded caught her attention, she instantly reached for her sword. Quite a funny sight, really, her small hands grasping at the empty air ( oh, she had entirely forgotten about the weapon being taken into custody ).
“Stay back, I warn you!” Her voice was stern when she spoke, dark eyes narrowing into slits. The clicking sound was one she was not familiar with, other than it being related to guns; it was all that she could think about in that moment, and although she had yet to figure out exactly how to fight this man, she knew better ( or worse ) to give up without a fight. “I know what your plan is, but trust me, it won’t work,” Violet added, wary eyes being locked on those of the stranger. Surely, he could not expect her to go inside now, could he?
♚ psycho.
Imagine dreaming, yet awakening so abruptly that you have no recollection of who you are or where you are for a moment. Lingering in a world that is so very different from the reality that it makes you question almost everything. Generally, this feeling only lasts throughout the initial shock of waking up. For Violet? Not so much.
A green forest turns into gray buildings in what seems to take no more than a split second. One moment, there is silence. The next, loud and unfamiliar noises and a blaring siren ringing inside of her head. Confusion rises, as does fear. Violet has never been one to get scared so easily, but something very strange seems to be going on, and if it weren’t for the fact that she’s almost positive that it is all just a nightmare, she definitely would have freaked out already. Instead, wary eyes scan the dull streets surrounding her, keeping a tight grip on the sword that lingered in her hands. Nightmare or not, fact remained that she felt oddly uncomfortable, and she would make sure that she’d be ready in case needed.
Her feet move cautiously across the road, and with every step she takes she makes sure to scan her surroundings, ensuring that she will not suddenly be cornered. ( Force of nature; even in what she assumes to be nothing but a dream. ) Her instincts tell her not to let down her guard, that it might all just be a trap. She is highly aware of every single sound around her, from the quiet chirping of the birds, to the loud engines of cars not too far away. Nothing is making sense and it is slowly starting to drive her insane. There is nobody to be found, nobody to respond to her questions and give her some answers. Could it be that they were simply trying to test her? She still had a reputation to uphold, after all.
While Violet was trying desperately hard to figure it all out, it is the exact same siren that she had heard before that catches her full attention now. The volume of it increases, a deafening sound that drowns out all the other noise around her. She can feel her heartbeat rising, her eyes widening as she tries to find the source of it all.
And that’s when she comes face to face with it. A robotic creature, roaring at her on full blast. There is no recognition in her eyes whatsoever, and for a moment she seems to be frozen in place, blocking the entire road with her presence. Never before has she seen a creature like that one in front of her. It doesn’t happen very often that Violet finds herself unable to move (if it ever happens at all), but this monster is simply beyond her darkest adventures. She has been on many, many quests, has battled so many wars; but none of that compared to the metal devil screaming at her.
If this wasn’t going to be the death of her, she might as well become immortal.
Yet Violet has never been one to give up, and when she finally seems to be able to move her body again, she doesn’t hesitate for even the slightest of seconds. Her sword is swiftly swung through the air, the sharp edges loudly colliding against the metal of what supposedly was a monster to the female. She can feel her entire body vibrate with the impact of the clash, but it doesn’t stop her from going at it again, and again, and again. There was nothing in the world that could stop a sword from killing it, was there?
Right. And when she finally realises the dark pair of eyes that has been staring at her from inside of the monster, she aims right for the glass window instead, ready to strike and hopefully have found its weak spot.
