She was ethereal.
The kind of ethereal that is pure and looks at you like you are merely a previous creature and not.one of destruction.
The kind of ethereal that doesn't even deserve the word "real" in that description because she seems like she was anything but. She pressed her hand to your hair and didn't wince or take it back in fear.
She looked at you the same way with love the first time you met, and the same way when you destroyed everything she was. Behind the broken lines on her face was her face that made sure you kept it together in public because humans were disgusting and only looked at her like she was a piece of meat.
You never meant to hurt her the way you did. She was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.
