I found a fun web to make relationship charts but instead a relationship chart I'm making a chart to explain Time lore related to the Michel; Johanna, Joanne, and Jeannette because I have free will
Extensive explanation under the read more!
(Technically I'm lowkey OC-fying EDoT here...) Clockwork has a child, Eternal Dragon of Time. Together they watch over and keep the balance of time and all existing timelines with the help of Fates.
At some point, EDoT got corrupted, a Dragon Slayer appeared to end the dragon. What most don't know is that, because EDoT is a higher being, killing them physically would not erase it from existence. EDoT was freed from the corruption, but the corruption itself caused it to break into 3 pieces; the Mind, the Heart, and the Power.
2 of those pieces reborn as human; Johanna and Joanne. Meanwhile the last piece merged with souls of Joanne and Drahr'Dolaas that later created/manifested Jeannette.
Johanna always is the beginning of them all. No matter what, when, and where. As the Mind of EDoT, she doesn't have any power or the innate ability to use mana, but it does enhance her intelligence and knowledge in general. In her timeline, she contacted a Doom virus who later became a parasite in her body that drained the life out of her. And after accidentally causing the Reset, both her soul and the Doom merged. Later, she reborn into a new identity.
Joanne, thanks to Johanna and the Doom virus merged, have compatibility with Doom power itself. Her, as the Heart of EDoT, born with an immense mana and the innate ability to adapt and tap into various elements, even when she's supposedly attuned to ice. Her compatibility with Doom is what caused her to be the caretaker for the Dragon of Doom.
In an alternate timeline, around the beginning of Book2, if Joanne and Arc met Drakath instead of the Atealan, the two of them were killed by Drakath who recently got the power of chaos. Instead of becoming an Elemental Spirit, Joanne's and Arc's soul merged with the Power of EDoT. The merging manifested into a physical being, who became Jeannette.
While Joanne and Jeannette are both alive yet live in a different world, Johanna's life has ended long ago. Compared to those two, Johanna could not exist in neither present or future. She's considered "only belongs to the past." Only her ideas and creations could survive through the Reset.
Johanna is the past. Joanne is the ever changing present. Jeannette is the unpredictable future. The three of them are considered daughters by Clockwork themselves
