Vampire information
I promise I'm not saying that what smeyer did was right. I did some research into vampires and pretty much every culture/religion have some type of bloodsucker demon thing; that's probably why most vampires are different from media to media. However most believe they are bloated, a purplish color, longer hair, nails and teeth. They don't however normally have fangs, that was a westernised addition. It also says they are not allergic to the sun rather more active at night. Some folklores saw vampires as living creatures, meaning they could do the same things as humans, they just wreaked havoc and drank blood.
So I still don't know what the body glitter was for, but the rest of it is just a mixture of different myths, woven in together.
