denielsharman people on my dash reblogged your post as if it was about the racism discussion that’s going on right now so sorry that that part of the post was inaccurate i was going by what others on my dash were saying
as for your xanax comment though, it was still ableist to say that, regardless if you also take anxiety meds. i have an anxiety disorder and depression and i find comments like “you need a xanax” to be offensive seeing as its always used against people that someone deems to be being loud, overly excited, and annoying. that’s equating having a mental illness that you need to take things like xanax to loud, obnoxious behavior and its wrong.
either way you obviously didn’t mean it in the way that we thought you did, so don’t think i’m like holding it against you. i didnt like the xanax comment but i don’t think you’re a terrible/ableist person, i just think the comment was a bit offensive.
