Denise may have been a little bit too excited for her first day as a real intern, long gone were the days of being a sub-intern and medical school. Now, she was really stepping into the big leagues. She was going to make a difference, change lives...save lives.

She bounded over to her friend, a grin on her face as her ponytail bounced around. She’d gotten here later than she had expected due to some personal setbacks, but she finally joined Sofia at the place their family worked. “
