Pitso Mossimane lauds Onyango's performance in Nedbank Cup final.
South African Coach and the gaffer at helm of Mamelodi Sundowns, Mr Pitso Mossimane has hailed Denis Masinde Onyango's performance he exhibited to see that Masandawana clinch the Nedbank title at the expense of Bloemfontein Celtics in yesterday's final game at Orlando Stadium. Thanks Gaston Sirino's strike in 80th minutes. Denis Onyango made two splendid saves that kept Sundowns into the game, and one coming in the first half as he denied Victor Letsoalo's free header while he was caught off the line to punch the ball over the bar. And the other one in second half, when he denied Andile Eugene Fikozolo from close range, when he brushed off the ball to corner kick and this would have levelled game in 86th minutes. "It was really a tough game for us. I think Denis (Onyango) saved us, two chances in the first half and second half but the game came out exactly the way we expected because of the pattern they play." Pitso told Supper Sport TV after the game "We had to frustrate them on that, not giving Victor Letsoalo and Ndumiso Mabena enough chance, then they resorted to long balls because they want to use the quick players, Potsonan and them." Pitso Mossimane and Sundowns won their first ever treble in history having bagged Absa premiership and Telkom Knockout titles before this season.
