Serengeti - In's and Out's
Joanna Dennehy (1982-?)
Joanna Dennehy murdered three men in Peterborough in March 2013. All three victims died from multiple stab wounds and their bodies were discovered in ditches.
The victims were:
Kevin Lee – Dennehy’s landlord and on/off lover. His body was found the day after his murder, dressed in a black sequined dress with his rear exposed for a final humiliation.
Lukasz Slaboszewski – Dennehy’s housemate. Died of multiple stab wounds on March 19, 2013 and his body was found on April 3 of the same year.
John Chapman – Another housemate of Dennehy’s who had reportedly caught her in the bath, sealing his own fate. Again, Chapman died of multiple stab wounds and his body was found in the same ditch as Slaboszewski’s on April 3.
Following the three murders, Dennehy and her two male accomplices drove to Hereford where she stabbed two men, one of them so she could steal his dog. Both men survived.
A mother, Dennehy did not want to kill women in case they had children. She modelled herself and her boyfriend Gary “Stretch” Richards, on Bonnie and Clyde. She committed her crimes for the purpose of entertainment, telling Stretch, “I want my fun. I need you to get my fun.” She later described killing as “moreish”, and said she had “got a taste for it.”
In November 2013, Dennehy pleaded guilty to all murders and two further attempts. Psychiatrists diagnosed Dennehy as “psychopathic, anti-social and emotional instability disorders”.
Her two accomplices, Gary Richards, then 47, and Leslie Layton, then 36, were convicted of a range of crimes, including attempted murder (Richards) and perverting the course of justice (Layton).
After her trial, it was discovered that Dennehy was under the supervision of the Probation Service after being convicted of assault and owning a dangerous dog. It was concluded that the staff dealing with her case were insufficiently experienced.
Before trial, prison staff found Dennehy’s diary in which she had written of an escape plot. The plot involved cutting off the finger of a guard and using it to fool the prison’s biometric system. Dennehy was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of her remand because of this.
Joanna Dennehy was sentenced to life in prison for her crimes and is one of only three women to be given a whole life tariff, due to the premeditated factor of the murders.

With Arrival of Bongino, Trump Loyalists Take Command of the F.B.I.
In the closing minutes of his podcast, the right-wing provocateur Dan Bongino made a promise. Joining the F.B.I. as its deputy director, he acknowledged, would require a stark change in approach after years of making his name as a pugilistic pundit. “I have to stay out of the political space because it’s the right thing to do and it’s the rules,” he said during his last episode on Friday. He…
