I have no idea who she is but, Altean Rei (???) S7 was really great and I can’t wait to see more.

so I saw this post by @dent-de-leon and naturally I had to make a crappy conspiracy video about it because I think they’re onto something
dent-de-leon replied to your photo “Twitter AU prompt: The werewolf and the fae. I know this is usually...”
I just wanted to say this just looks so comforting and calming and I love it ;; makes me really curious if you have any headcanons or anything to go along with it? Anyway, your art is really expressive and lovely :')
Aww thanks!
Well when they asked me to draw that au, I thought about having shiro be the fae. He’s like, one of their greatest warriors, everybody respects him and they’re kind of scared of him in their realm, because he’s close to the ruler of the fae, Princess Allura.
He still does his guardian duty, because he loves their realm and their people. But he’s lost one arm in fight against the Galra, as well as his wings(those on his back are his broken wings) and no fae magic can do anything about it. So he walks and wanders through forests no one has ever gone into. In one of those times, he crosses path with some wild beasts, undoubtedly controlled and transformed by Galra magic. He defeats them, only to find out they were attacking this lonely and rather small creature. He wants to leave it there to die bc fae don’t really interfere with another species, but he sees those fighter eyes looking at him so intently. Like despite how wounded he is he doesn’t want to give up. He wants to live. Shiro is enchanted by those eyes. He heals the wolf-man with healing potions he has with him(his little fae friend, Pidge is a master in potions)and that’s where they get to know each other XD
sorry this wasn’t supposed to be this long ^^;
So, can we just stop for a sec and appreciate the fact that two of the best-known meta-writers in the Sheith community (*cough* @heero-yuy and @dent-de-leon *cough*) seem to be on opposite sides of the Shiro clone-theory?
Like, we get critical analyses and strong af points from both of them as to why this Shiro is or is not a clone, and it makes me question everything (in a good way!) and it’s become difficult for me to pick a side.
But I think that’s the best thing about it? Their metas have made me more comfortable with either direction, so I think no matter which plot the show follows, I’ll still enjoy it.
So thanks, guys <3
@dent-de-leon replied to your post “I feel like Pidge’s shield doesn’t get talked about enough. Like,...”
id also say it shows pidge's nature as being more protective as opposed to head-on offensive. and being that her lion’s aspect is the forrest (which carries nature symbolism for nurturing growth, life, ect), and also how well she mastered the olkari belief all life is connected, it makes sense why she has the shield—something to protect and preserve—and not a weapon like keith. another thing, pidge is someone who endures and thinks long term. shield could = perseverance
Yeah, I think Pidge has definitely grown to see the team as people inside her sphere of protection and as such it makes sense that she shields them, but she didn’t always think that way. In the beginning she hadn’t yet decided these people were worth her time and effort, even going so far as almost leaving them, before she realizes wait I want to be there for them.
And there could possibly be a parallel to how she doesn’t really start getting the hang of her shield until after the fall of the Castle and her change of heart. Correct me if I’m wrong but Voltron’s shield isn’t used at all in the first battle against Sendak’s ship right? And then it makes its first appearance in the fight against Myzax, where Pidge fumbles it and clearly doesn’t know how to use it. This could of course be attributed to the team being unfamiliar with Voltron at this early stage in the show, but it could also mean that Pidge hasn’t fully accepted her place on the team and her role as Defense for Voltron. After she decides to stay, after she decides she cares about these people and their cause enough to delay her search for her family, she becomes much more proficient at wielding the shield. And I think that’s because she has accepted them into her “group of people I care about and want to protect” list.
Also I just want to say I really like your last point about Pidge enduring and thinking long term
dent-de-leon replied to your post “question”
its always singular i think? i always thought the “Blade of Marmora” was like…this original blade that all the other order ones are based off of. it could also be like this mythic thing in galra culture that symbolizes the group’s ideals or something. but i don’t think each member is supposed to be a “blade” which is why it isn’t plural. maybe??
Oooh that’s a neat thought! I like that interpretation of its origins. Definitely didn’t consider that the blade itself would be the inspiration; I was definitely thinking more along the lines of who (or what) “Marmora” was (or is), less so the “Blade” itself as a literal interpretation instead of the warriors. Neat twist!
thank you to @saltyshiro @arahir and @dent-de-leon for their s7 positive blogs, I was feeling really down because of the fandom’s reception...

is this a hint to season 5? I’M NOT READY. I’M NOT...
@mmoonjava i think they mean that, considering this is from season 3 not 4, this is a strange time to be posting this, particularly with the caption “shiro begins his journey back.” unless its to somehow imply that we’ll be getting the real shiro back soon, cause they want to remind us of this scene for a reason
YES! EXACTLY! IT MAKES NO SENSE TO POST THIS NOW. @dent-de-leon
