#dentist update

went to the dentist and went better than i expected. i was thinking root canal or teeth pulling but that may just have been anxiety talking.

wasnt even that expensive, she repaired the tooth and it was the equivalent of 100$

need to come back for a followup to repair a few things but she said this was the worst of it. which ill take as a win

Dentist went well. My insurance isn’t covering everything so I have to pay over a thousand out of pocket. They wanted to do a lot more but I can’t afford the $4000 out of pocket so I’m just doing the major stuff for now. They were really nice though. I’m using almost all of my tax refund for the other but at least I’ll be able to smile again by the end of March.

Replies will be out later. Still a bit disappointed at America’s shitty dental/healthcare practices.

Update: My teeth look great xcept im showing signs of grinding @ night but its all ok because a SERVICE GOLDEN walked by me and my dentist says she has patients that are 100+ years old with ALL of their teeth & thats gonna be me

oh yeah post dentist update circa 2 days ago cause i forgot to do it 2 days ago:

they had to give me twice as much anesthetic for some reason?? my mouth is too strong for you traveler, you'd better go to someone who has a weaker mouth

i felt like i was in freaking portal when i had this conversation: "uh excuse me, is it normal to still taste blood??" "yeah it should be like that for a little while, dont worry about it"

fun fact, apparently when half my mouth is numb I cant stop talking like soos from gravity falls

also drinking cold water is really weird because it feels hot on the numb side so it feels half hot half cold when it's in your mouth
