Now that we have been for three weeks, I figured it was time to update this blog.
Brooke is a front desk cashier at Disney’s Contemporary Resort! It is one of the deluxe resorts and sits in between the Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake (it’s the big one that the monorail goes through).
As a front desk cashier, she helps people check in and check out and gets to help make magical moments happen. As soon as she gets a decent picture in her costume, that will go here.
Mary is working in the shops on Mainstreet USA on the east side. This includes the Confectionary, the Chapeau, Curtain Call Collectibles, and Uptown Jewelers. With Extra Magic hours for Disney Resort guests, she is often there very late but gets a chance to see all of the parades that come through. Once she gets cute pictures in her costumes, they will also be posted here.
Traditions was the first class we took and it was basically REMEMBER THIS IS WHY YOU LOVE DISNEY. We both cried multiple times during the class and it was a truly magical first experience with the Disney College Program (DCP). There were multiple classes for each of us afterwards that involved training for our respective work locations and we’ve finally gotten to start our on-the-job training where we actually get to be working onstage (the area the guests see).
So far favorite things of the program are the incredible food, the kitchen in our apartment, and of course, getting to go to the parks whenever we want.
