A Little Family Time - Lafayette & Denver, CO

Aside from catching up with a few friends, we have had a chance to spend some time with our kids and their partners during our time in the Denver/Lafayette area. Rachel and Tyler (and Samson) have been our wonderful hosts for our visit. They are always so generous and welcoming when their "homeless" family comes to town! They took us to several wonderful eateries for some amazing vegan food - City O' City, Cake Bar, Vegan Van, and Meta Burger - to name just a few. We also played a little pickleball - with Rachel, Tyler, Dan, Jaimie, Rob, and Rhonda - unfortunately, I did not get any pictures of that action. We also played a couple of times with just Rachel & Tyler. We also did an escape room (which we finished with 12 minutes to spare) and a cidery (Acreage - a very cool spot with awesome views).

Oh, we might have been at a brewery or two during our visit, this one was located at Edgewater Marketplace - where we met the kids for dinner one evening.

We had a great time, we really appreciated friends & family taking time out of their schedules to spend with us. Rachel & Tyler - you guys are awesome AirBnB hosts - 10 star rating out of 5!

Denver Favorites!

Since people keep asking me when they should visit, what they should see while here, and what they should eat, I’m going to compile a list of my top 3 favorites in each category. And away we go!

Favorite Concert Venues in Denver:

Red Rocks (Obvi. The acoustics are the best of any place I’ve ever been. So incredible! Make a trip just for a show.

The Bluebird (It’s so small and cute and there is never a bad place to stand!)

Summit Music Hall (It’s where all my favorite pop punk bands come to play.)
