“John, take a deep breath, we’ve just brought in a suspect that was trying to kill Sherlock.” John shot Mycroft a look that said ‘and why are they still alive’. Mycroft held up a hand, “I haven’t ‘talked’ to them yet. I’m as clueless as you but they said it was a code 10.” John’s face dropped. Code 10 meant possible world end. World domination. A whole continent might be in danger. This person, whoever they were could kill them all in a second if not properly restrained and Mycroft knew these people were goldfish and even they were supposed to be the best of the best. John was there to protect Mycroft, he’d had a feeling two men would be needed. Their feet hammered down on the cold metal floor before stopping outside the interrogation room. Mycroft looked to John. “Ready?”
John opened the door wildly and slammed against the opposite wall making Mycroft jump slightly but still the man in the middle of the room did not move. His wrists were held up to the ceiling and his ankles were chained to the wall. They could walk three metres around him and he couldn’t reach. His trousers were black and damp towards the ankle but his feet were bare. He had no top on and his hair that clearly needed gel was messy and just about holding itself up. Mycroft and John stood at the far side of the room.
Bursting through the tannoy the song that everyone knew as one favourite of Mr Jim James Moriarty. It got louder and louder, ‘I've been kicked around
Since I was born’, Mycroft’s face furiously turned to those outside the interrogation room wanting to know how he’d got into the tannoy. Asl the chorus finished, ‘STAYING ALIVE!’, Moriarty lifted his head as his grin grew wider and wider. “Well? Did you miss me?” Mycroft gasped with a smile, he bloody knew it. He told Sherlock not to be so presumptuous. Of course he wouldn’t be bloody dead, you’re alive aren’t you?
John’s face was quite the opposite. Sherlock had sworn that Moriarty had shot himself in the mouth, he had to be dead. If Moriarty hadn’t gotten involved with Lady Smallwood his wife would still be here. He knew Mary had chosen to save Sherlock but she wouldn’t have had to if this little shit had kept his mouth shut. “I’m going to kill you,” John spat at his feet. Moriarty fixed his eyes on John and looked a little hurt. “I think Sherlock might have something to say about that...
Mycroft looked to John. “I didn’t tell him. Did you?” Moriarty chuckled at their confusion. “God, Mycroft, your men really are useless. You should fire them. Unless you’re sleeping with them too?” Mycroft balled his fists and deduced every last man out there that had slept with Moriarty before firing them in a burst of anger. Moriarty tilted his head and sighed before leaning forward to John. “John. Do you want to know a secret?” John nodded sarcastically but Moriarty whispered anyway. “I lied... I have my phone still!” He threw his head back and chuckled. John threw out an arm and punched him in the stomach, winding Moriarty. John smiled briefly. He felt better.
Mycroft rushed back into the room. “Sherlock’s here. Deny all.” Moriarty shook his head, “Seriously Myc. He’s not an idiot. He knows I’m here.” John looked to Mycroft, “He texted him. He still has a phone.” Mycroft rolled his eyes, “BLOODY GOLDFISH!” Moriarty looked to John accusingly, “THAT WAS A SECRET!” John smiled at Moriarty, enjoying getting his own back, although it was little at a time.
The door next to them opened slowly and Sherlock stepped through. His purple shirt was clearly visible despite him wearing the belstaff coat over the top. “Mycroft. John. Moriarty.” Moriarty rolled his eyes at Sherlock, “I think we can do a little better than that don’t you.” Moriarty flexed his finger, beckoning Sherlock to come forth. Sherlock took several steps forward until he was just in front of him. “Hello Jim.” Jim looked hungrily to Sherlock’s lips. “Hello. Boyfriend.”
