Honestly, why aren't more people experimenting with monarcho-communism in fiction? It's such a fun concept, a monarchy that promotes communism as its economic and political ideology. And owns it. I'm not talking about Cuba or North Korea which do communist monarchy in all but name, while simultaneously doing communism wrong, I'm talking a real monarchy that calls itself a monarchy, and does communism. And no, I don't really care for Grenada, the country in history to be a communist monarchy as they didn't really want the monarchy and the monarchy didn't want the communism. Grenada didn't leave the British Commonwealth because they wanted legitimacy and having Elizabeth's representative gave them that. Britain didn't end Grenada's communism cause they thought it wouldn't last long and would fall apart, so they kept the representative there so when it fell they could swoop in and take it back. The British crown basically had no power over Grenada and the monarchy itself wasn't communist. The whole situation didn't last long before the U.S. invaded and Regan had to apologize to Margret Thatcher over the phone for basically declaring war on the British Commonwealth. I want to see a monarchy that is itself communist and promotes communism. Fuck it! Give me urban fantasy monarcho communist country in some book out there, that sound fun as hell!
