"Now remember my dear not a drop is to be spilled."

Composure
Keeping your composure doesn’t mean you’re a hypocrite or dead inside : you know your emotions but you also know when to let them show. There is a time to cry, be angry, be excited. There a time to offer a composed face and manners to the world and keep the rest to explore in your privacy.
It takes practice and gentleness with yourself but you can learn how to remain composed.
For me, what works is to keep those feelings and thoughts for later and let them out properly and completely when I can, without imposing them on anyone else unless it’s a trusted friend or family remember and the time is right to confide.
Same goes for when someone is rude to you, irritating. that kind of attitude doesn’t ruffle any of my feathers. As we say in french, "la bave du crapaud n’atteint pas la blanche colombe” the drool of the frog doesn’t touch the white dove.
In such instances what helps is knowing when to take a deep breath, find that serene pool inside of you and remain anchored in it. Good or bad the world, the winds, do not ruffle you up. It’s just the wind, You glide over it in a serene disposition. It doesn’t always work but it does help when it does.
Any tip to keep your composure?
He had a cane, he had an eye-glass, he had a snuff-box, he had rings, he had wristbands, he had everything but any touch of nature; he was not like youth, he was not like age, he was not like anything in the world but a model of deportment.
