Today one of my friends said:

And like, the context was completely different than what this blog is about but my friend. That line was immediately added to the Crucial Information Databanks in my brain.

My brain when other people use the word ‘cult’: That’s a sensationalist and reductive term. Deradicalizing members of cults is the most effective way to begin deprogramming, and using words like ‘cult’ is counterproductive in that effort. It dehumanizes the experiences of ex-cult people. Stop. Using. The. Word. Cult.
