I recommend three songs to jump you in: Pink Cat, Lamb., and a recent song, Gokuraku Jodo. The last one features a really cool dance that I’m desperate to learn! Lamb. is one of my favorite songs. It’s from their album Linkage Ring, which is really stellar cd from start to finish.

I’d love someone to talk about them with because I really love their music, but know no one- outside my students0 who knows and enjoys them too. Definitely, give a listen, and hey, maybe we’ll meet in Sendai, though I’ll be up there sooner than later, I suspect. I love the Book-Off Bazaar near the station too much, and it’s always got Yuri!! on ICE merch for me to pick up!

Stay strong! For some reason March/April is always harder for me than the those cold Tohoku winters... It's a very emotional time, so keep your strength up mentally and physically!

Thank you for the shoulder.  These Tohoku winters are definitely tough, but coming to an end soon. Plus, the snow today wasn’t going to stick, which helped me a lot: it was way too warm on the ground, but just cold enough up in the skies. I’m just ready for Spring. Soon, though: soon.

There’s only one in the city, or at least one that I’ve found so far, but it’s right near the station, so it’s super central and very convenient. Next time, I’ll life up a glass of melon soda in your honor!

One of my JET sempai really recommended Japanese Animal Crossing for its practical vocabulary practice. So many useful daily life phrases! Also probably amazing for starting conversations with ES boys over bugs and fish… Dang, I should get it!

I actually picked up an old copy of AC: Wild World at my local Book-off for about 298 円 a couple of weeks ago which is great so far. It has a kanji or hiragana option that gets presented to you early -mind you, there’s also furigana too, so kanji is still readable- and I’m not going to lie, I went hiragana because my reading skills are that of an ES student, and I’m not ashamed to admit it. I think for me, being able to read and then understand the construction of kanji radicals is important, because right now, I can’t even read my children’s books without mild confusion. (That’s also a matter of building up my vocab too!)

I think I might snag a copy of Happy Home Designer at Book-Off or more practice sicne that’s got a lot of furniture and household goods that I’d readly be encountering in my daily life. I might grab New Leaf too. 

I don’t have ES students, but I can still wow my SHS with my love of cute games and style in Animal Crossing!
