Townie Makeover Gifs!

These two are complete polar opposites, one had to go through a massive makeover and the other one I could have basically dropped in my game as is.

Astrid Vinter won Miss Aurora Skies beauty contest, but it really just left me a little baffled about the criteria since she initially looked like a plastic surgery gone wrong contest front runner. I tried to make her look more like a nice neighbours girl sorta type who always has a freshly baked cinnamon roll scent floating around her. She is also dating Gunnar Hannes, a local misunderstood artist whose makeover you can see over here.

Magnus Mango is from a military family and I’d like to think he also runs Ainali’s scout group for the local kids. He is one of those delightful, super rare EA premades that didn’t actually look bad at all! I made him throw his beanie away, added a nosemask and just ever so slightly adjusted his eyes and eyebrows. Super happy to have him in my game!

Rajita Wong is a very busy lady with even busier love life! She has a daughter whom she is trying to raise to be more like her mama, while she also has another dude on the side for some good ol’ secret love affair shenanigans (Stefan Svard). Think in my game the story progression decided against that though and I haven’t seen much action between the two of them.

According to his bio Ari Wong is a bit special which irritates the hell out of his wife to the point she ended up having a secret affair. The only somewhat wacky trait he has is never nude which isn’t really all that bad? In my game this couple seemed to mend their differences though and they have been popping kids left and right. Unless that’s their way of trying to fix the marriage? Either way I loved making over these two!

Musical brothers Stein and Stefan Svard are looking a little less like puddings methinks! Stein is a full time freeloading musician while his brother is desperately trying to rake in some money to fund their music by moonlighting as a journalist. He is trying so hard to look smart with his suit on for his daytime job, but can’t let go of his beanie because he suffers from a serious case of bad hair days. Every day. A bit like my husband, except I have been slowly convincing him to just embrace the mad mayhem that is his hair!

According to their bio Lief Helgason is a divorced single father who fought for custody in all three of his ugly divorces and now has 3 kids living with him, so I tried making him look more like the part (All the effort went to waste though, he aged up to elder just few days later!). I don’t usually bother making over kids or teens because their facial features can and will change a lot once they age up to young adults.. But I just couldn’t let Karen leave the house looking like a helium balloon. I’ll tackle the other 2 kids once they are older.

Lara Hallur is part of the Lief Helgason divorcee saga, and according to her bio she is a nurse looking for new love and/or happiness, but she is also struggling with commitment issues. I was fully committed to fixing her face though, she looked rather uh, creepy before. The type of creepy that sets your house on fire and whispers “Yay burn in the sweet, sweet flames of blessed death!”, you know?

I decided to try turning my makeover posts into gifs as I kept flicking the layers on and off to see the changes I had made myself sooooo here we go! The picture quality isn’t as good but at least you can see the more subtle changes now more easily

I tried to make Gunnar Hannes look more like a misunderstood artist who has an Etsy shop, but sadly he never sells anything. It may well be because he is more into conceptial art that nobody seems to get and he refuses to sell out by making something that appeals to the mainstream crowd. I may have chuckled when I spotted this in his bio: “Despite being an artist, he lacks any Creativity skill“. That chuckle died fast when I remembered that my art uni lecturer once rather casually said you are not a true artist untill you have been written about by professional art critics after exhibiting in a well known art gallery ಥ_ಥ

Yuri Apple is one of the many ex-wives of Lief Helgason (You can see his makeover here) whom she hates, they also have a son together who in return dislikes her very much. According to her bio Yuri has a fickle nature and she doesn’t like to be tied down, but in my game the story progression made things go absolutely wild and dramalicious for her. I guess she either did it out of spite or her marriage was truly so bad she ended up ditching men altogether and married an infamously cranky elderly lady Tinna Vinter. This game can be quite hilarious!

Ericka Berge is the major of my little village, but in my game she is also constantly preggers so I made her look a little bit more motherly I guess? The type that always has whatever you need in her handbag and also gifts everyone woolen mittens she knitted when she was stressed. But I also tried to make her look more sassy srs bsn lady who gets shit done, because she totz does. Her posse is made entirely out of chicks and if that doesn’t help with getting things done then I don’t know what does.

Simon Adamsson is Ericka’s other half and they basically got married right after I plopped them down in my game. I like Simon because I didn’t have to mess around with his face much since he wasn’t a bad egg to begin with. Just needed a little squishing down and his mouth widened, plus a little darker eyebrows. He looks like a worrier now (thanks to his new eyebrows) which he should be with the amount of babies they are popping! Like gosh dude, wrap it up already, Ainali cannot sustain this kind of population growth! Why won’t anyone think of the planet!?

More townies! Here we have Leena Fernandez and Elsa Sparks, Aurora Skies’ mailwoman and pizza delivery girl. Elsa is apparently based on Disney’s Frozen which I have uh.. Never watched. I just can’t get into new Disney movies anymore, I prefer the good old non 3D era. Please don’t hurt me :x Either way, I had to squish her face as it was both wide and humongous so I don’t know how much she actually looks like her.
