Ghosts were a perfect visual reconstruction of their appearance at death, cause of such included as the house ghosts were so kind to demonstrate. While she might not know just what killed her or who, she could attest that there were no traces of poison on her person or corpse and she therefore has not been killed by Hagrid or his acromantula. The Bloody Baron was a little confused by the number of students on the grounds, werewolves, professors, convicts, and not-convicts. But as far as he was concerned the convict had protected the kids and the not-convict-rat nearly confessed to multiple cases of murder and one case of ratting (heh) people out to their murderer. He wanted to let everybody know that.
