THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE (1974) DIR. TOBE HOOPER
Monster: The Ed Gein story is coming on Friday and I cannot WAIT! It’s all I’ve been thinking about honestly, I really enjoyed the first two seasons of Monster- Dahmer and The Lyle and Eric Menendez story but Ed Gein is a case I know a lot about. Back when I was a teen and was obsessed with The Texas chainsaw massacre I researched other films based on the case and of course there was the usuals- Psycho, Silence of the lambs etc but one that’s much less known but one of my all time favourites that has always stuck with me is Deranged. I absolutely love how bizarre and weird this one is mixed with the old 70s gore and effects- it’s such a treat 😁 But it always has to be the uncut version with the infamous head scooping scene of course. It still baffles me that the actor who plays the main role, Roberts Blossom is the same guy who plays old man Marley in home alone! What a legend!
it’s always some fucked up dude with a dead mom
Ezra Cobb is one of my favourite depictions of Ed Gein cause they don't drape him head to toe in red plaid
