you get contractions BEFORE labor? like a month before? aaahh whatttt

SURPRISE!! Yes. They’re called Braxton Hicks contractions. Not the same as labor ones. It’s like a collect them all scenario. The more you get, the more dilated you are and the closer you are to active labor. 

They typically start happening in the third trimester, randomly. Instead, I just get sharp, stabby pains in the nethers. Also fun, but doesn’t get me close to birthing a baby.

Why should men be feminist allies instead of feminists? A feminist is someone who believes in gender equality, it's not like the LGBTQIA community, where you refer to yourself as an ally because you support equality while being straight--you can't really support feminism and not be a feminist

Well, men can support feminism, but they also will never truly understand what it’s like to be a woman and what female oppression feels like. That’s why some people prefer that men identify as feminist allies.

Similarly, I support black liberation, but I’m white and therefore have white privilege and will never truly understand what it’s like to be black or what black oppression feels like. So I consider myself a white ally.

aah tamora pierce! definitely read some of them. I couldn't get into her older stuff when i started reading her because i was a little old for it but trickster's choice/trickster's queen are absolutely fantastic. 10/10 would reccomend
