His mother, Talia Hale, was much respected within the werewolf community meaning Derek came into contact with members of a number of other packs.He and his family lived in Hale House in Beacon Hills, California and he attended Beacon Hills High School.Peter Hale claims a 15-year-old Derek conspired with an Alpha (Ennis) to have Derek's girlfriend (Paige) bitten in hopes of turning her into a werewolf. The process didn't take and, to end her suffering, Derek killed her. Having taken an innocent life, his eyes changed from yellow to blue. Sometime later, Derek entered into a relationship with werewolf hunter Kate Argent. She used him to gather information on his family making him an unwitting accomplice to the arson fire at Hale House that killed most of his family. After his Uncle Peter killed the conspirators involved in the fire, Derek killed him and took the status of Alpha Werewolf. In order to save the life of his sister, Cora Hale, long thought dead in the fire, Derek gave up the spark that made him an Alpha. His eyes turned from red back to blue. Kate somehow physically regressed Derek back to the age of 15. While he was eventually restored to his proper outward appearance, he lost all of his werewolf traits and abilities. Derek apparently died for a little while in Mexico. The whole process - losing his abilities and dying - had been one of evolution. He now has the ability to shift his body fully into wolf form. Season 1; Derek searches for the werewolf that killed his sister, Laura Hale, while helping Scott deal with his new status by teaching him to control his new nature and trying to avoid psychotic ex-lover Kate. Season 2; As a new Alpha, Derek sets about building his own Teen Wolf Pack. He tries to track down the Kanima which places him at odds with Scott who is trying to protect his friends. Season 3; The Alpha Pack tries to get Derek to kill his pack to become like them. He finds his sister Cora, long thought dead, and loses two of his Betas and his Alpha status. Derek is captured by Mexican Hunters, jailed with Chris Argent and controlled briefly by a Japanese fox spirit. Season 4; Derek is seen, tied up and covered in cobwebs, in what appears to be an Aztec temple in Mexico. After Scott rescues him, Derek appears to be a 15 year-old boy. Derek, regressed physically and mentally to the age of 15, returns to Beacon Hills. He doesn't remember the fire that killed his family. Kate convinces him to open the Hale Family Vault underneath Beacon Hills High School. Derek hires Braeden to find Kate in hopes of learning what she did to him to cause his eyes to revert from blue to yellow. Derek helps Sheriff Stilinski investigate and fight The Mute. Derek meets Liam Dunbar and advises Scott. He shows Chris the Hale Vault and explains that Kate did something to cause his recent eye color change and loss of powers. He and Malia go in search of Satomi's pack. He finds an injured Braeden. Derek takes Braeden to the hospital. He and Satomi unwittingly come up with the cure for weaponized distemper. He admits to Braeden that all of his werewolf abilities are gone. She tries to teach him how to use a gun and they end up sleeping together. Derek says he doesn't know what kind of supernatural Jordan Parrish might be. He and Braeden save Scott, Malia, and Liam from assassins. Derek helps Braeden, Scott, Kira, and Chris Argent defend Satomi's Pack from assassins. Derek gets a late night visit from a screaming Lydia. He tells Scott the Dead Pool money is Peter's, not his. He explains that he owns his building and has other bank accounts. Derek travels to Mexico and tries but fails to help Liam control his shift on the full moon. He is mortally wounded in a fight with a Berserker and apparently dies for a little while. He reemerges with the ability to shift fully into wolf form and manages to seriously wound Kate. Season 6; Video footage of Derek is shown at Stiles' FBI class where he is apparently on the run for mass murder in North Carolina. He questions Hunters who tried to kill him and briefly reunites with Chris who attempts to convince to help fight Gerard in Beacon Hills. While hiding out in the school, Derek is confronted by the Anuk-Ite, who takes on the appearance of Jennifer Blake, and turns him to stone. Still The Alpha; It follows along with the show, up until Erica’s death. That never happened. Derek Hale did not lose his Pack. Isaac, Erica and Boyd are all very much alive and still a part of his pack. He was able to save Erica and Boyd from the Alpha pack in time. And Isaac never left to join Scott McCall’s pack of misfits. He was also able to save his sister Cora from what Jennifer did to her without losing his Alpha status. And once everything had calmed down enough, Derek, with the help of his pack, his family, he rebuilt the old Hale house. Human; Derek was born the only human among his siblings. He was left out of a lot of pack activities because they were deemed too dangerous for a human to partake it. Since he was left out a lot, he took to reading books. He never got into any type of sorts, he would rather spend his time with his face buried in a book. As he grew up; so did his love for books, along with a need to be a teacher. Once he graduated high School, he decided to go off to College, as far away from his family as possible. He ended up going to a school in New York. He had the entire college experience, drinking and parting. Getting in trouble at frat pirates. But he graduated with high honors. Becoming a Teacher. Now he has to decide if he wants to go back to Beacon Hills to teach or stay in New York. Dark Side; (Trigger Warning: Blood) After killing his Uncle Peter and becoming the Alpha, Derek took a turn no one saw coming. He went dark side. He allowed the monster inside to take over. The blood on his hands after ripping his Uncle’s throat out turned something inside of the Werewolf. Like a simple switch was flipped. Causing him to become almost feral. It was more of the animalistic side that came out. Needing and wanting things, people, humans to be covered in blood and ripped apart by his claws or fangs. The Bloodier the better for him. Never The Alpha; Derek Hale never became the Alpha. At the end of Season One, Derek and the rest of the group who were hunting down the Alpha; the group finds out that Peter never killed Laura. He became the Alpha because a group of rouge hunters killed her, leaving her cut in half as a message to Derek and any remaining Hale’s, and Peter was naturally next in line before Derek. Derek didn’t end up killing Peter, instead he submitted himself over to his new Alpha. Becoming Peter's first Beta in his pack. Peter and Derek work together to find and take out the hunters who killed Laura. Getting revenge for her unlawful death. House Hale; (Game Of Thrones based AU) House Hale is basically House Stark. They love their wolves and protect them at all costs. They aren’t pets, they are family to House Hale. The surrounding lands know that all the shakes are able to shift into full wolves. People around the House Hale land fear the Hale’s, they spread rumors that the Hale’s take innocent lives of the humans who step on their land. Or how they eat babies and go on murder sprees every full moon. But in all honesty, the Hale’s are the kindest and most welcoming of the Houses. The Hale’s are involved in all the diplomatic affairs of the lands, in fear that if they were not involved they would start a war and take the thrones from all other Houses. When in all honesty, House Hale just wants to be left alone to go about their own business. But they are feared more because of what they are. Since Lycanthropy is considered a disease that needs to be cured. But with how powerful the Hale’s are , they can not be cured. House Hale is of born wolves, not bitten.
