“Oh my god I am so-” It was that guy. The pool guy, the one who had been so concerned about her despite the fact she’d practically pulled him in with her. And she’d just nearly side swiped him as she carried three pumpkins in her arms. Sighing heavily in defeat, Ruby looked to the sidewalk after regaining her balance. “Derek, right? We gotta stop meeting like this.” She’d just stepped out of the shop and practically right into him in the process. That’s what she got for trying to bring all of the pumpkins outside at once. @derek-calloway

"I know you... don't I?" Mercy is sure, yet not at all sure. She could swear she has seen those deep, fretful eyes before. But he certainly is not one of her flock. Perhaps he is just a stranger, some passerby whose arm Mercy has caught, and who she examines with desperate and open hope. She so, so wants someone to be alive.
