One Step Closer to Accessibility
It can easily become overwhelming to think of everything we need to take into account for accessibility. This overwhelm can become a complete bottleneck to making any progress with accessibility. So how do we approach it?
One step at a time.
Choose to implement everything all at once and you may end up accomplishing nothing. If we apply accessibility to one place or task we hadn’t previously, we’ll be doing better work, period.
So where do we start?
Do a jargon hunt and explain terms that need it
Investigate the requirements of your tutorial video for people who can’t hear
Consider how exclusive keyboard users will activate an uber widget
Ask: What’s one step I can take to add more accessibility to the work I’m already doing?
