i have neither the skill, the talent, nor the desire to make video essays, but i did make my friends sit through a way too long powerpoint presentation about the early seasons of dancing with the stars (us version) and while researching for that, i fell into a rabbit hole and learned far too much about julianne and derek hough and also mark ballas and their weird fucked up childhoods, and i feel that this is pertinent information that i need to share with the world. so please enjoy my poorly designed and overly verbose slides on the subject:
anyway, i know no one who follows me cares about this, but this is just such a weird story right? like why would the hough parents send their kids to go live in england with these people they barely know? i know divorce can be messy but like??? and why did the ballases decide to randomly adopt some mormon children??? why were any of these decisions made???
